Best Weather App??

I wanna know which Weather App is the best. What I'm looking for is:

-One that shows me a radar of the area.
-One that has a widget.
-One that has hour to hour weather?
-Doesn't drain TOO much battery.

I've been comparing Weather Channel and Weatherbug, and it seems like both have their pro's and con's. Can anybody give their opinions on which is the best of these two (or possibly another I'm not finding) ?? Thanks in advance!!!

Pilot MyCast was just released for Android (for a large fee), so I imagine that it's only a matter of time before good ol' standard MyCast Weather finally shows up.

From every other phone I've used up to owning an Android phone, MyCast was always the best weather app available, period. In my view anyway.
Animated radar, severe weather maps, lightning data, even way the entire graphic scheme of the interface would change in response to holidays or weather alerts

I've tried so many other weather apps for Android so far and all pale in comparison. I end up uninstalling them after just a few days because they just don't stand up to what I'm used to with MyCast.

WB Elite, easily the best weather app available. It has all the radar features you would want such as lightening strikes, etc. You also get access to hour by hour weather breakdown and the widget looks great. I use the wb elite widget on the top of my home screen with default settings. It does everything you are asking and more. Theres even live video feeds from local cameras. Theres even a pretty nice looking girl who does the daily national forecast. You get severe weather alerts as well as alot of other information you may or may not need. Easily the best weather app available.

snowstorm gives you forecasts for different times of the day, e.g. 0-9, 9-18. etc. It displays this both on the home screen as a widget and as an app. Not hour by hour, though.

I was using weather channel, I liked it but I found it an annoying app. I can't even remember why. I think it either had notifications that couldn't be stopped or the application kept starting and running in the background. I think weatherbug is less intrusive. Also, I think the weather channel absolutely BLOWS when it comes to providing a forecast. Just check their website and try to tell me what tomorrow's weather will be in your area. All they give is a % chance of rain and hourly temps. I don't think the app was much better. Weatherbug gives much better forecasts. I don't/didn't use either of their widgets.

Weatherbug is hit or miss, depending on the reporting station. They often use schools. I know I wouldn't trust the one at my school. It's run by the students and the instruments that measure the conditions are in questionable locations (against the building, by windows, and often in the shade). Also, no one is there all summer to keep it working properly.

I totally agree. Trying My-Cast Lite now for free and it's not bad, but not My-Cast Quality radar.

Another My Cast user.

However, to update, I've tried a bunch of improved weather apps and think, even after paying, I'll delete My-Cast. It's just not what it was on my regular phone with the monthly fee "Classic" I guess. I don't like the radar. Weather Bug seems better and I don't want both starting up when I turn on my phone which I can't seem to stop. Still looking for the perfect weather app.

I've only tried Weather Channel app, and I hate it. It takes up space in the notification bar with no option to remove it. And you can't even kill it, even with the task managers.

The Weather Channel app provided no extra functionality better than their website (which is pretty good). So I ended up uninstalling it.

Also, they called their app "The Weather Channel", which made it sort under "T", another small annoyance.

IMOP...where the information (reporting station) is coming from and how close you are to that reporting station is what will give you the most accurate information for where you are at.

For me, WeatherBug Elite is the absolute most accurate report that I can get, and the app works great with my Samsung Galaxy S Mesmerize phone. I live in a small rural town and the next closest reporting station with any of the other weather apps is 20 miles away. Our local WB station is right in town (1/2 mile away from my house.) There has never been an issue with the quality or timeliness of the reports.

WB Elite can give you reports as often as every 15 minutes for temps, conditions, etc. and offers instant severe weather alerts. Another nice feature is "My Location." If you have this feature enabled it will pick up WB stations as you travel locally or throughout the country. (WB stations include airports, schools and backyard weather stations.)

No weather app is perfect, and actual temperatures can very from as little as 2-3 blocks away, let alone, 2-3 miles away or more. I'll take the reporting station that is 1/2 mile away. For me, WB Elite hands-down!

They have too many versions.
Some people swear by classic, the others by another version.

I do not like that they are slow to provide updates when bugs are outed.
The last update broke the app and it took weeks before a real fix emerged.

What I find interesting is the emails I sent were answered by people with @garmin in their address.
