USB Modem Mac OS X

Hello,

I am not able to connect my HTC Tattoo as an USB modem with my Mac.

Does anyone managed to do this?

Yes on another htc phone (Hero) that has been rooted and has wireless tethering (wifi) installed. I am sure the Tattoo model has also been 'rooted' and has the same possibilities. Search around for wireless tethering.

The Tattoo has not been rooted yet.

I too have been trying to use the built in tethering feature on the Tattoo. Mac OS X sees it as a modem but none of the standard APN settings have been successful. I'd check with your carrier as some allow you to do this only if added onto your existing plan whereas rooting a phone and using a hack will work without changing your contract/plan.

But we need to root it first.

So I just have to wait for someone that is going to root the phone.

I have also tryed t install PDAnet but without success, if someone had some success in this, let me know please.
