should i trade a ps3 for atrix

no, if you give up your ps3 you will be left with only a phone when you could have both. You will feel happy about it for about a week, but you will soon realize that while your phone is new, it isn't that much better than what you currently have.

i could have both but wouldnt it be cheaper to get the ps3 last then to kep ps3 and spend around 500 on atrix

Why don't you just sell the iPhone4 before the iPhone5 comes out so you can maximize your returns. You have a mytouch4g and incredible which if you're not using, you can sell, lol. But I think the iPhone4 would get you more money if it's close to mint condition. Take that money and buy the Atrix off contract and any money left over go get accessories for it.

Are you insane? No seriously, are you? lol

All joking aside I'm pretty sure the Atrix is nice and all but there is no way in HE...uh, the world....I would trade my PS3 for an Atrix.

If the PS3 is getting boring for you....go grab Little Big Planet 1 and 2. If you already got one or both games, I dont know what to say about it being boring.

*even if you are a hardcore gamer, do not sleep on Little Big Planet...:p

I have a PS3, 360 and Wii. At some point I havent played with any of them for months. Then one day I just feel like playing probably all 3 over the next months. Then the cycle continues.

Out of all 3 systems I would trade my Wii before I gave up the other 2. Look at the post above. Guy got an Atrix for $99.

Are you trying to get an Atrix with no contract? How old is your PS3? It might not be a bad trade depending on some other things. But I personally wouldnt do it, and I got the old fat model PS3.

I won't not trade for it. Just bought an Atrix 4g from amazonwireless.com for $99. Over time the phone will loose value but the PS3 still holds it's own.
The market value of the Atrix is $600 right now :p What you bought is for the contract price which is NOT the value of the phone. With tax, I paid over $700 for the phone.

Everyone here is kinda dumb, sorry. Atrix is $500-$600, ps3 slim is $300. It is a good trade, you can always sell the phone and buy the ps3 again easily. I dont understand why you wouldnt do that...
He's technically trading 9 games+3 controls+$100 for Atrix + laptop dock + media dock + car dock

It hurts just reading this thread. No true gamer would ever contemplate trading away their console for a smartphone. What about downloaded content? All the media you've acquired? Sweat and tears you've shed going for accomplishments?

I have a PS3 and Xbox 360 and would never part with it for even a tablet talk less of a smartphone.

An Alienware M11x yes but not a smartphone.

Maybe tevine has decided to grow up and don't need the consoles/games anymore ;)

Ugggh you sound like my wife :D

Every time she says something to this nature I always remind her that it's better than her Jersey Shore, Housewives of _____ or Bad Girls Club addiction.
Those shows kill my brain cells :( I actually feel dumber after watching 5 minutes of anything like that.

See the only thing you can use against me is my addiction to Android...but you'd be calling yourself out too ;)

Trade in the PS3 but keep the money, next gen systems predicted for 2012...
Well at least Nintendo...
And they HAVE to push out a console better then PS3 for cheaper or they will lose the next gen war BADLY!
You know what... Wait until E3 before you do anything.

You really think so? Nintendo has always been on top for sales, software and hardware with a gaming system with the most oudated tech out of the three. Why else do you think Micro$oft and Crony have come up with similar "casual" gaming styles? (The Kinect and PS3 Move) Perhaps for a share or domination of the casual niche market which at times, past up to current, has surpassed "hardcore" gamers in terms of releasing new IPs and catering to?

Mobile/PC platforms haven't helped either with an influx of these "casual" games. I'm not saying I don't play casual games but game devs, the major ones I.E EA, Capcom, THQ, all have been looking at making games in similar vein to the "casual" market so they can bleed us dry even more. Similar to add-ons, in game content/items, they are looking to add more revenue by trying to implement more "markets" within the game itself.

Don't get me wrong though I have all three as well but my Wii has the most dust b.c of the lack of non-kiddie games. I'm not arguing your point just asking if you really think this to be true?

I digress, sorry. I'm a bit of a game nerd and techie.

To the OP, I say do what you feel would work out best. Honestly, you could always try it out for a week or two and resell it close to the price that it was valued at when you made the trade. PS3's can be found cheap if looking hard enough unless your picky. :p
