Root I have a quick simple question about overclocking

When overclocking, would flashing a rom completely erase all my settings or is it handled more in depth than that? Thank you for your help.

depends, if you swap from lets say viper to syndicate then yes if you are required to wipe data it will reset your settings, there is always titanium backup tho

ok here is where I am, I have syndicate now and I was using a 2 different overclock mods and wasnt happy with either of them. After erasing them things seemed rather laggy so I now I want to knowis, if I reflash the same syndicate after doing all the wipe processes will my cpu speeds be back to what the original syndicate had them set at?

when you dont use an app like set cpu or voltage control then governor in the kernel will take over then and use whatever is setup in the kernel by default.

So your answer is you dont need to reflash, but I say go ahead for good measure
I wouldnt have peace of mind until I reflashed it all over again but thats just because I like tinkering and messing with stuff lol
