Just Got A Bolt.

I finally got the Bolt and right off the bat the gps and Wifi sucks compared to the Dinc I have. Plus antenna signal strength is less too. THis is about it for the complaints. I love the larger screen aS I am getting older the eyes dont work as good on them lil screens with the little texts .

I will not be rooting this phone as of yet. I am mostly waiting to see if the whole thing That P3 said on the other boards about verizon doing is true or not. Any hoo Back to the topic at hand. Its a nice phone and glad I got it. I will use my Dinc and OD as backups.

Planning a trip to Disney World so I will be able to try 4G in 2 weeks. My lil back water county wont be getting for awhile I think.

So I think I finally found my phone I have been looking for. Hope it don't let me down.

That is not true.. There is no way.. Anyways maybe you should try Gpsfix from the market.. but since im rooted i just did the mod and i get lock ons in 1 second..

The only odd thing I have noticed is that it has the old market place. I found that really odd and I don't remember how to force the update. The other odd thing was that the market place didn't show her previosly downloaded apps, luckily she only had about 10 I had to look up, but the bolt chewed through the downloads, most apps took longer to install than download.

No joy on that either, tried clearing both and then restarting same old market. Has to be one of the weirder problems I have seen.

I got my TB today too. Loving it! Battery life is horrible on 4G, but who cares. I'll only turn it on when I'm plugged in. Otherwise, I'm more than happy with 3G and wifi.

There is a thread farther down about battery drain and the blockbuster app. Haven't had the TB long enough to know if it is true but a year ago when I got my incredible I had terrible battery life and did the same thing to the same app and it made a world of difference in the battery life.

Yeah I know but still like the Dinc. its just kept calling to me ride the lightning. So I got it. THe phone has been up for 13 almost 14 hours and on 82% charge still. So I think the battery issue is on a phone to phone. It was like with the original droid some people had great battery life and others had batteries that would last barely 6 hours.

Going on a trip. so I shall be back in the afternoon. Yall have a great saturday and worm Still love the Dinc. Might give it to my son to play games on it.


Ran in to my first problem. it would just reboot over and over. had to turn off and pull battery for a few minutes. No problems after that. Got back from the trip and using google navigation the phone charged to 100% and stayed charged by the car charger. something my Moto Droid couldnt do. Now have to get a car dock screen protector as I have the cover that came with the phone as not to touch the glass. Also a case but might wait till otterbox comes out with theirs. I might get a gel one just to use temp.

Over all had a good day with it. it preformed well besides the reboot issue. I just chalk that up to a lil glitch.

What bugs does swype have? Mine works fine

In the native SMS app it won't auto space of auto cap. There has been a huge discussion about it on the swype forums. Swype is blaming HTC.
