Okay, so I tried this a few times back on Eclair 2.1 and it didn't work then. Since then, both the Ally and the Kitchen have gotten updates, so I decided to try it again today. Come to find out, it apparently works with both Velocity 1.0 and Punisher 1.0.

This is not a step-by-step how-to, so much as it's a general guideline..

BE WARNED: If this breaks your phone, it is nobody's fault but your own. Make a Nandroid backup before flashing. Also, It has not been tested as to how extensively compatible this kitchen is. I did a small test (screenshot below), that is all. If you do some drastic changes, it may not work.

First, you'll need to get your framework-res.apk from your rom (Velocity1.0 or Frunisher1.0, whichever). Get it however you want, be it Root Explorer, Astro, ADB, Doesn't matter.

Second, visit one of these links, they are labeled accordingly.

[MOD][04/05] UOT Kitchen (Ultimate Online Theme Kitchen) version 4.0 - xda-developers
-UOT (Ultimate Online Theme) Kitchen-
UOT Kitchen

Once at the Kitchen, chose all your theme parts and whatnot, upload your framework-res.apk, submit, wait for it to cook. Everything you need is provided in the kitchen.
The .zip that is made will be named "UOT-**-**-******". That is, "UOT-[month]-[day]-[six digit code]".

NOTICE
There is one thing you will need to do after downloading the zip file that the kitchen provides. Follow these directions carefully.
1. Open your rom .zip file with your favorite zip program (7zip, winzip etc.)
2. Open your UOT file in another window with the same program.
3. Navigate to /META-INF/com/google/android/ in the rom's zip file.
4. Copy/past the "Update-Binary" file into the same location in the UOT zip.

After that, put the UOT zip on your sdcard, reboot to recovery, make a nandroid, toggle signature verify, flash. Wiping is NOT required.

Here is that screenshot I promised earlier. Check the battery icon in the notification bar.

I tried to change battery, fonts, and notification drop down screen. It worked but i got alot of FC's.Anything to do with google would not work. Then I was unable to restore my nandroid back up in recovery, so I ended up reflashing velocity. So people need to realize this is not perfect yet.....but being the stubbern person I am i think im goin to try the battery by its self:rolleyes:

I'm trying to follow your guide for using the kitchen. If i misunderstood I may be doing it wrong. This is what I have done:
1. retrieved framework-res.apk
2. uploaded to Kitchen
3. "cooked" with selected options
4. DL'd UOT--.zip
5. OPened the UOT.zip (to adjust meta-inf)
6. extracted the frame work, located the meta-inf folder, opened said folder to "Navigate to /META-INF/com/google/android/ in the rom's zip file."
7. In the meta-inf of the Velocity 1.1 framework.res.apk, there is no com folder, only three files.

Did i miss something or misunderstand?

No, I misunderstood your question because untill now, I haven't looked into Velocity1.1 Original framework-res.apk.

I noticed what you said however, and I havent had time to fiddle with anything.

As the op was typed before Velocity 1.1 was released, the kitchen may be incompatible with 1.1. My suggestion would be to make a Nandroid backup and flash the UOT.zip as it was downloaded(without changing anything). Let me know if anything goes wrong. I'll do more extensive testing when I get home this afternoon.

I tried that first. It just errors out in the install process.

Would it be possible to pull the framework-res.apk out of the UOT file zip it up and flash it with velocitymorph?
