1-Year Contracts Already Eliminated?

I went up to the VZ website this morning to start the process of ordering my gf's TB. There's a combobox where you select the contract duration. I only see "2-Year Contract" and "Month to Month". When I ordered mine last month, I got the 1-Year Contract. Have they nixed the 1-year contracts on their website 5 days early?

Yeah, I think it has already been implemented. Although, I've heard that you still may be able to get a 1-year contract if you go into a store or maybe even call.

Last night the option for a one year contract was there. Today it is not.

Exactly my point. Verizon planned to eliminate 1-year contracts beginning April 17th. It's only the 12th.

Holy crap! I got in just under the wire then. I ordered mine last night online and opted for the 1-yr contract and it went through fine. Wow, my timing is never that good. Sorry to all out there who missed it. Although a T-bolt under a 2 yr contract with grandfathered unlimited data ain't so bad, know what I'm sayin'.

You'd still be able to do it in store, or over the phone with customer service. Same thing happened when they started to eliminate the 3G multimedia phones that needed the 10 dollar data package last year. They dropped from the site, but you could still find them in store. You're still good to go for a few more days on the 1 year options.

Update:
I tried the VZ chat and they told me the 1-year contracts are no longer available.
I called customer sales and I was able to get the 1-year contract over the phone. They also threw in a free case and Bluetooth headset!

Are you a new customer? Were you able to select your new phone number's area code AND prefix the same as you can online? Do you get overnight delivery?

That's what I hate about phone orders, no tracking, no path.

For me, I'm a new customer and I ported my old phone number over to VZ. I got free overnight delivery and they gave me an order number which I have to reference tomorrow when I call to ask for a tracking number.

Still available in stores. Got my thunderbolt about an hour ago. One year contract
