Help Recovery Screen due to a little water in phone... any permanent damage?

So I got a little water into my phone. I was freaking out a little bit when i saw the recovery screen because my phone is brand new. :( I simply chose an option from the recovery screen and since then my phone hasn't had any problems. My question is, is it possible that the water that caused the recovery screen could have caused any permanent damage? Could it be making my phone run slower or making my calls lower quality? Could it affect my battery? Because I only had the phone for a few days before this incident I can't really tell if it has become slower or affected in other ways. If you have any knowledge about this please help.

Here a picture of the screen I am talking about:

My 2 yr old daughter got my wife's t-bolt a little bit wet. She picked it up with wet hands. It didn't work well at first, but after sitting in a bowl of rice for about 10 hours it came back to life with no issues at all. Just take the battery out, leave the cover off the phone and place it in a bowl of rice. We covered the whole phone with the rice.

Probably will work fine, just have to be patient.

I would say the chance of any real damage is minimal, especially if it was only a drop or two. More than likely something shorted, put you at that screen*, and is done. You should be thankful nothing shorted to overvolt anything that would fry, as that could have easily happened. I would dry the phone, and then it should be good.

*to be totally pedantic, the screen you have there is actually hboot, not recovery. Recovery is either CWM (or amon_ra, etc) if rooted or a triangle with an exclamation point if you are not rooted.

I agree, leave the back of the phone off and leave it out in the sun for a few hours.

You got the recovery screen when you turned on the phone?

You aren't like me and accidentally pressed the volume down button while turning it on? I have done it twice already, I would hold the phone from the back with my left hand, and press the top button with my right hand and not knowingly was pressing the volume toggle...

Hopefully for you that's the problem! Otherwise...good luck!
