sounds like you need to sbf then clear data through the stock recovery

How long did you wait?

Hold HOME and THEN hit power - but keep holding home. Let go when the icon pops up, then hit both volume keys together. Wipe data.

i maderstcok to 340
rooted
installed d2 bootstrap
d2 bootstrap recovery
wipe data
wipe cache
install zip from sd card
p1
p2
p3
reboot
bam bootloader 30.04 err a5.......
i have seen these errors before in a previous post
but i cant find it

Ok so I tried to load my 2.2.340 from clockwork it went to the screen with the droid and the unpacking icon and stopped loading about 1/4 of the way. I had to battery pull. Then tryed to get to my files via bootstrap and when I click on my 2.2.340 back up it say no data or someting along them lines.

Right click on them install as Administrator

Download SBF from http://goo.gl/4ea0r

RSD Lite from Download RSD Lite 4.9.rar from uploading.com - Filestube.com - download everything

Install RSD Lite as Administator

Turn off phone, Take out battery.

(Right click RSD Lite, run as administrator)

Put Battery In
Press and hold the Volume Down button and the Camera button, and press then Power button until the screen lights up.

Should say Bootloader 30.04 or something

Hook up USB Cable. Wait for windows to find your phone and install drivers (you will here sounds sounds as it installs everything)

You should see the phone at the bottom of RSD Lite. If not click show device. Browse for the SBF file. Click start.

I found it seems to work better if you don't move the sbf window or do anything else on the PC. It may take a long time. It may stick at RAM Bootloader 97% or something for a long time. Leave it be, it will either say phone rebooting or failed.... eventually.

Once it boots it may bootloop at the Red Droid Eye. Go into factory recovery and factory reset. Accessed as below



1. Turn your phone off.
2. Hold down “Home” and press the “Power” button there at the top. Hold them until the Motorola logo appears
3. Release the “Power” button, but continue to hold the “Home” button until you see an exclamation mark (!)
4. Release the “Home” button and press the “Search” key once (and only once!)


Use volume keys and camera button to move around to reset (note that camera button is super sensitive and can double click if you aren't careful)

Hold home, hit both volume keys when icon pops up. Power is confirm.

Just a random observation from the message boards...I see a lot of people so hesitant to SBF. In my opinion, it is actually easier to do then recovery (especially in Ubuntu).

Not being critical, just an observation.

So once I'm back up, reinstall Droid 2 Bootstrap, redownload the files to my SD drive and try again?

I did the same thing from the original leak a while ago. The bootloader was not happy.
