Hopefully this thread will stay on topic. The people that have jumped from the .573GB leak to the .588GB leak if you notice anything different please list. I myself am sitting tight on the .573 for now. Ready set go!

I already know about the different 3G icon on the .588 leak.

I'm on .588 leak and it seems smother and faster.

Here are some of the changes I've noticed.

1) 3G symbol is different
2) The haptic feedback is less noticeable

To answer calls you now have to swype. First version you just press the answer or ignore button. Like the forst version better.

I'm still on the first version and I have to swipe (like a lock screen) sometimes too. I think it is all based on if your phone is locked or not maybe?

ok i just tested this on the old version. if your screen is off (phone locked) you have to swipe to answer or ignore, if your screen is on (phone unlocked) yuo get the answer and ignore buttons you can just press

Yep, that's the way its always been. Swipe to unlock, so swipe to answer if your phone is locked - makes sense, you don't want to "pocket answer" someone accidentally.

Fab was working on ApeX for the last leaked GB build and I saw a tweet from him saying that there was enough differences in the system files that he would be redoing ApeX for the new GB leak.

Other than the 3g icon, I've noticed that the shade of blue of the conversation bubbles in the stock messaging app is lighter. Also LauncherPro seems to be running smoother for me versus the original leak.

All-in-all not a huge bunch of differences. I also agree the conversation bubbles have a lighter blue tint to them. It feels good over all, can't say it is a whole lot better, but I can say it is not worse at all. It looks like Verizon added their VCast apk to this build, I don't remember that in the previous build. Also the blue shadows when you are to the end of the scrolling seems to be more fluid in this build and not as jerky.

The big reason for me to change was Fab's post last night that his GB build would be off the new OTA/Leak and not the previous one. What is nice is if you create a back-up before you SBF back to 2.2 and install the new version and then restore the data there is very little set-up that has to be done.

awesome. Yeah i saw Fab's tweet late last night also. So with that being the case i may make the jump to the new leak today as well. Even though it will be a while before he's done with Apex i'm sure. It's going to suck if either another leak comes out or the actuall official drops then he may have to start over again.

The speaker does not come on when you remove your phone from the dock like it did on the previous leak. It also doesn't happen when you disconnect external speakers. Very annoying in the previous leak.

I've seen a stronger radio, and also noticed the demo madden and need for speed back in the app folder again. I don't recall seeing them in the first gb leak.

I couldn't deodex the first leak, but deodexed this leak without issue.

Some people are claiming higher quadrant scores, but I'm seeing pretty much the same I saw with the first gb leak. I'm not sure how much stock I put in quadrant, though, since you have to run it 3 or 4 times in a row.

yeah i'm starting to lose faith in Quadrant also. Until they update it for more droid's running gingerbread.

Specifically, when we drive through cherokee NC with google maps on, the satillite feed usually dies for a few minutes, and then downloads and appears again. Last night for the first time since we've gotten our droidx's, it never died the entire way there and back again.

Inside the cherokee hotel, where we are lucky to see even 2 bars at most, I had three the entire time. That was a nice treat.. being able to snap pics, and post them to facebook without problems.

ok I know this is a X2 article but i'm putting it in this thread for a reason. In the pics on this link they have a current gen X with what i assume is one of the GB leaks on it. Then they have the X2 beside it. Check out the 3G symbol on the X2. Its the same as the first GB leak we saw. Yet on the X it is the newer blue 3G symbol....anyway it was just an interesting thing i saw.
