I bought my Steinheil screen protector from Amazon. The screen protector should cover the whole glass area correct? It is suppose to cover the black border under the glass as well? Both of mine are slightly short on the bottom and the side. I just want to make sure they sent me the right product.

I'm finding these seem to scratch pretty easy... Is this normal? In fact my first scratch was caused by their plastic applier...

Yeah... I wrestled with the tabs also...

I fail to see the popularity of these. I installed one on my GF phone and within a week it is scratched at least 3 different spots. What is the point of "clarity" if it is going to scratch so easily.

The one I bought for my phone had the tabs backwards and the install was botched because I had touched the wrong part and didn't want a big fingerprint.

Lastly, I cleaned her screen THOROUGHLY and it still had 2 specs of dust. Once the protector was applied they are so rigied it stuck out like a sore thumb.

If I decided to put another on, will stick with my phantomskinz. Had one for over a year on my droid with not a single scratch. I am going naked on the TB for now.

I've been happy with mine so far. I too got a scratch from the squeegee during application. Kinda of a bummer.

No dust and good fit (a little short on the bottom). I just like having the protection, so I don't get so paranoid when wiping it during the day.

I got the two-pack for $7 on eBay when Groupon had the 1/2 off deal, so if the two last a year, I'll be happy. It already has a good amount of minute surface scratches, but you can only see them when the screen is off and in the right light.

Of course they scratch, they are simply a piece of plastic. To be honest, I never understood the hype over SGP screen protectors. In my opinion, they are no different than any other plastic screen protector, but they charge a lot more. Sure they are clear, but they offer virtually no protection against scratches.

Which leads me to recommending a Wrapsol Ultra or Clear. Wrapsol | strongest, easiest and fastest-to-apply protection for HTC Thunderbolt

I have tried almost every screen protector brand that you can think of, and they have easily been the best to me. Not only are they the rubber, self healing variety (virtually scratch proof), but they are the only one in its class that I can think of that goes on dry. Very easy to put on with no mess or liquids.

I had a Wrapsol Ultra on my Incredible and it is still on there a year later, and you still can't even tell it's there. It's clear, yet strong and lasting. Highly recommended.

And to end my post....I am in no way affiliated with Wrapsol. I just was super pleased with their product. :D

P.S. When I ordered mine, coupon code twitmywrap took 30% off my order. So the screen only protector was $10 and some change.
