Help Device not recognized by NFL Mobile??

My buddy just got a tb and he is telling me when he tries to go to NFL mobile it tells him his device is not supported.

Since it's a VZ device it should be. He has no idea what root means so it's all stock, not sure of his update status or if there have been any updates from VZ yet for the tb.

Anyone else experience this? Any solutions?

TIA

If it is the same as most things today the NFL app is developed by a third party for VZW, I'm sure it just needs to be updated to work. It is a shame that it isn't done yet, however being the off season I don't see it being a high priority right now. I would look to see an update when we get closer to the draft.

The funny part about the whole thing is there are several videos from CES that show the nfl app working on the TB. So something between then and now broke it.

I am glad you posted a thread on this because I was about to do the same.

My boyfriend and I are big NFL fans and are looking forward to getting smartphones so that we can always be updated. When I went to VZW the lady told me the app did not work on the sample phone because you have to pay for it and it did not have a subscription. Is this true? You would think since it is a VZW app it would be compatible with all of the phones. I thought it was free, but regardless of if it is or not I would love to see it up and running on the TB.

You got fed a line....it's not working on this phone yet.

bump, any news on a workaround?

current workaround is to use a phone that NFL mobile works on.

the app is not compatible with the device, as has been stated numerous times and even mentions in the download. it will have to be updated. given that football is not in season, there's no reason to move this to top priority.

you'll know when it works when there's an update and the disclaimer that it's not compatible is removed, or you open it and voila- it works.

I'm with ya on that one, especially since i saw a VZW commercial pushing the use of real time scoring during the draft on NFL mobile. It's funny the app doesnt work on either of their flagship phones.

and everybody is entitled to their opinion.... but not when the information is wrong. it's been fixed on the TB, and thus you acknowledged and agreed with a now-outdated comment. not everything is immediately compatible with everything at launch.

so go download the update and enjoy. :)
