Root CM7 issues

I put CM7 on my phone the other day. Now my phone randomly chooses a person to hate each day and will not let me call that person. I can call anyone else and even my voicemail, but that hated person of the day just gets "call lost" even when i have all my bars. Anyone know of a fix for this?

Your phone now has PSYCHIC ABILITIES{via the 'MISS CLEO' app perhaps},I'd heed the warning & avoid that person until the curse is passed on to the next victim in your contact list. ;) :)

Uh-oooooooooh!Sorry to hear that!I'm sure your girlfriend is fine in every way.
Seriously though,if you use your phone a LOT like I do,sometimes just turning the phone off & let it cool down for a little while{1-2HRS} seems to resolve most unexplainable "quirks/bugs" with my phone.

P.S.,if your girlfriend is upset about the lost call issues, just direct her this way,we'll vouch for you! :)

Hello ppl! I am newb to the droid world but have been reading the threads onhow to flash CM7 and thank you all for the help!! 2 questions, 1: how do you get the browser to work? I cannot get it to connect to the server. 2: cannot get the MMS to work either. If someone could help out with these 2 fixes then my Ascend will be running primo. Thank you in advance!!

the browser means you need to reflash, your flash messed up.

use my guide http://androidforums.com/ascend-all-things-root/320265-ultimate-ascend-customization-guide.html and you should be good.

What would cause my Gmail app to not sync with Gmail? ie It will show new messages as they come in, but when I read or delete them on the app it does not sync with Gmail. Also the app will still show a certain number of unread messages but not the messages itself, but online it displays it.

I'm running CM7 with the latest nightly build, and noticed this has only been happening since the last 3-4 latest builds.

do you have sync set in settings?

In the gmail app I have it set to sync the inbox, all messages for the past 7 days. In the accounts and sync settings I have the Sync ON as well as Auto-Sync checked and Background Data checked. I have numerously checked the accounts for being synced, sometimes they have been automatically turning the sync off, although this hasn't seem to be a problem in the last few nightly builds.

For some reason my app still does not sync with Google's servers. Would there be any settings on the Gmail server end of it that I would need to change (Imap, etc)?

CM7 Issue on 2 separate Huawei Ascend M860 phones.

CM7 has no issues that I can find, except for the camera issue, which not only prevents the camera from multiple uses, but interferes with the Infrared Camera app and the Barcode Readers.

When I attempt to use the camera, it works fine, the first time and a few times after that, but eventually, it will cease working.

When I go to use a barcode scanner or the IR program, the camera cannot be communicated with and an error pops up telling me that the camera can't be found.

When I installed, I booted into recovery, wiped the system, cache, dalvik, then I installed the CM7 released today (I've been installing for about a week now without issues, on all the updates), then I install the Google Apps, and the Update fix. I fix permissions and boot. I install all the google apps, one by one. Then, I boot back to recovery and install the MetroPCS update for MMS. That works fine. I reboot and everything works fantastic until we come to the camera.

Is there some kind of fix? I have opened up the camera in Titanium Backup and there are 2 installed. Version 1, and version 2. I've attempted to install a camera.apk that's an upgraded version, directly from the CM7 files, but it will not install.

I'm increasingly frustrated with the camera issue, because it's a feature I love having. I don't want to flash back to the old Metropcs files, and android 2.1 (yuck). Not when we have such a wonderful program around. Can you offer me some kind of advice? I'd greatly appreciate it. Maybe a fix or a way to install the new camera.apk?
