Help Shutter button doesn't work with Video Recording?

Hi all,

This is my first post on this forum so please be gentle with me.

Just getting to grips with my new phone - the Arc - loving it so far - first Android phone also!

Been experimenting with the video recording and cannot get a video to record. I've obviously selected the video 'icon' on screen but when I depress the shutter button on the side of the phone nothing happens?

Has any other Arc users had this problem?

Shutter button works for me, both for video and stills. You do have to press it quite hard though - once to start and once to stop.

Does the button work for stills ok?

You're right - I was treating in with Kid Gloves - does need a forceful press!

If you push the camera button down gently is photo mode it focus's, then a full push will take the image, you just need to do the full push for video mode.
The only downside is when you have to push quite hard it tends to cause the camera to shake.

As an alternative you can touch the screen to focus/take pictures, which may reduce shake.
