Help Keyboard selection problem

Is it just my gtab that absolutely refuses to enable a foreign keyboard? The first time I tried to enable swype it actually checked the box, I was kinda spacing out and clicked again on accident which removed the green check. No matter what I did it wouldn't let me check the box again, even force closing settings at times. Feeling a little ballsy I deleted the tapntap western keyboard apk thinking it might force me to enable another keyboard, didn't work. Could it be the kernel? Don't think it's likely but you never know. It's the froyo kernel with gamepad support, clem-something I think.

Or install any ROM that is not TnT based. *cough* VEGAn *cough*

Then you can download, install, and select the "normal" Android way.

*cough* +1 *cough* :)

Snobs, both of you. :D

We OEM Luddites need love too. Are we not people? If you prick us do we not bleed? If...

Well, okay. It's probably only a matter of time before I flip. I'm trying to hold out for the G-Harmony perfection. Or something. :D

Lol. It's not our fault the makers of Tap and Tap decided to mess with settings. They tried to be all fancy smancy and messed up the input method in settings. :p

Thanks guys :) I'm running kinda stock, just a modified kernel and the enhancement package. I'm tempted to flash vegan but I'm assuming anything other than stock doesn't include the tnt ui. I'll have to figure out what apk's to backup first before I flash. Thanks for the responses :D I feel a bit better knowing it's a common issue that's fixable and my new shiny tablet isn't defective.

Alright, Vegan snobs, I've installed Vegan tab (so that makes me...oh, wait...), but can't get either SwiftKey or Thumb keyboard to work. Got them both installed, checked the box to use...and I'm still getting the stock keyboard. Did I miss a step?

No, now I got both Thumb keyboard and Swiftkey installed--but both betas have expired--does anyone know if the 'split' version of Swiftkey is available for Vegan-tab, or which thumb keyboard is good (since it looks like I'll be paying for one).

Thanks!
