Root Liberty GB is out in the DONATE TOOLBOX ONLY, not yet released to the public!

I really don't mind donating. I donated for 2.0 and now I have access to all his future Liberty ROMs - as soon as they are ready. It just so happens that the next is in beta. So what? If it doesn't work as well as generic GB 588, I'll just restore and wait for a better release. Not going to complain about it!

the point being those that actually donated prior to having to have this app to get them... some people who donated possibly more than the cost of the app are still forced to buy the app to get the "newest" rom...
say for instance I kicked them 20 bucks back on liberty 1.5... now I've got to pay again just to be able to try out the beta... I can see why people would be a little miffed about that...
again, thats just my .02 and everyones entitled to their own opinion

(p.s. in my eyes this kinda goes along the same lines of TBH app... which has been long debated over whether it was "ethical" or not)

I have no problem with the TBH app. It's a central repository for leaks and releases from them, and they have to pay for the bandwidth it consumes.

I don't have a problem with the liberty toolbox, either. I don't begrudge them selling an app. We all choose whether or not to buy it. Personally, I just wouldn't pay money to be a beta tester - a beta tester is providing a service. It's mutually beneficial - the tester gets access to the latest and greatest, and the developer gets someone who will find bugs for them. Typically, it's the developer who gets the better end of that deal since it's really very little effort for them to put up the release for testing, and it's the testers who are burdened with incomplete and buggy releases, and reporting problems back to the developer. For paid apps it's a little more nebulous since the tester actually gets some value out of the app, but for free apps it's ridiculous - you pay for the bug-ridden version, while the full release goes out for free.

I would never pay so that I can provide someone else with a service.

P.S. I would donate to a good app developer all day long - and have done so. Even for paid apps that I feel give me more value than the cost, I donate. I just think it's funny that they're posting the beta in the paid app, and will release the final to the public. I'd think it would be the other way around.

i def agree with you on this one binary, but like any other bad investment i made :p i already bought it several weeks ago, so no point in complaining now, im just running the rom, which i can assure you guys, so far its not worth it.

there is no good speed increase, i went from 2000+ overclocked at 1350 to 2195 last night at the same settings. however stock with no overclock was pathetic as it sat at 1600+ but like i said my device just isnt keeping overclock settings, and doesnt seem to be quite as responsive as most people is im sure.

so far Accounts doesnt work
the theme however is still the same as you have it now
adw is stock launcher, which i dont mind, but i do like the blur launcher. it just has that nice feel

sorry for not posting screenshots, i woke up late and my tire was going flat, luckily i noticed the weird vibrations in the steering wheel and pulled over to get air put in, i may need to get a new tire anyway considering the back is out of alignment, and this particular tire is already going bald, where as the others have above average tread on them after being drove for about a good 1000 miles. so when i get home i will post screenshots. even though in all honesty its definetaly not really worth it.

and I couldnt agree more with him to be honest... I will fully support and donate to a dev for their work, but I personally will not pay to be able to run a beta.... especially with how good GB by itself is running right now. OC'd its even better.
again, just my .02. not saying anyone has to or should agree with me.

I'm Airmaxx23 and I support this message...

What I really didn't like was all the hype and bs comments some close to the situation were putting out there before the release of 2.0. Once it came out, and you had to pay to play, I understood what they were doing. I decided not to play that game. I also think the delays hurt them cause all of a sudden there was GB, and everyone seemed to be jumping ship. I know I ain't turning back. Waiting for Apex.

What was the incident you speak of that took over your phone? Sounds like it happened when I didn't have my X and was trying to restore my new one.

JRummy had inserted a line of code onto the servers to show something to a friend of his but forgot to remove it because he got caught up with something else
this code would upon reboot of your phone, open your browser and do a google search for something (I think it was something simple like "liberty 1.5 awesome") and then the phone would lock up completely for a lot of people.
anyone who rebooted their phone during this hour period that the code was on the server this happened to, if you didnt reboot your phone it never effected you.
the only way out of it was to try to boot into CWR and restore a backup of something else but it was still a royal pain. I was on my way home from work and stuck in traffic for 2 hours with no phone (until I was able to get home and fix it)

I try everything so I can recommend or not recommend stuff to those less experienced. From what I read here and on the market, you must buy the toolbox to test the dailies. However, as I understand it, you have to already be on liberty 1.5 to upgrade.

I don't have the time to do that, now. There was a death in the family and I'm working like a dog to be able to take off Monday for the funeral.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong about the necessity to be 1.5 to be able to upgrade.

there is a gingerbread version
and a froyo upgrade version
if your on froyo it will move you to gingerbread root with liberty
if your on gingerbread it will move you directly to liberty.

i honestly do not recommend this theme, considering it so far is a huge hassel, once you download the rom and you try to make a backup, it doesnt, instead it seems like it is making one and then installs liberty, otherwise i would have reverted back to stock gingerbread instead of this. which means i will be sbfing when i get home again :(

good luck to you steven and jrz a death in the family is never an easy thing, i hope you both can get what you need to make everything easier for you. and good luck!

I like stock rooted gb too much go so far afield and not be able to restore a nandroid back. I really Moto has a winner with this new thing. I'm happy for the first time since sense ui. I would like an embedded blur scrolling calendar widget though. But hey, who's complaining.

Thanks for the well-wishes. It was my Mother in law. We were close.

yeah it affected me that night. Like I said, I understand what happened, it was just an unfortunate event really, but still... (plus I didnt like how one of the dev's handled the situation that night either)

really? 1350 and you cant get over 2100? huh.... I guess that just goes to further show that not all of them were built equal... at 1.15 i average just shy of 2100 and at 1.2 I am consistent at 2150-2200. I've never tried higher than 1.2 :::runs and trys it for S's&G's::: (2250-2325 on three runs at 1.25)

Wow.. On 4.5.573 overclocked to 1.3 I still can barely get 2000. What voltage setting are you at for those runs? Give me all your settings that would affect the score so I can try pleeease. Interactive governor?
