I recently bought my evo march 1 and its been wonderful to me ever since. I use the clock in the home screen with the tempature now it told me I was in the wrong area for a while an if would usually fix itself but it had stopped doing so. I went in and deleted what it said I was at and now it says 'my location' and no tempature does anyone know how to fix this problem I'm having?

hi,

My son was home from college Easter w/end and told me that his Evo periodically shows the incorrect time (and/or location). I think he said it has happened off and on since he's had it (Fall 2010). When I looked at his phone, the time was 1 hour ahead (EDT) but the location was correct (and location services is turned on). The next day, everything was normal.

I googled this and found a number of references to Evo locale/time problems (some remedied by turning off automatic clock settings, but this does not correct the locale problem). I never saw a solution referenced in 2 or 3 threads discussing the problem.

The phone has latest firmware and software updates - anyone know if there is a fix for this? known problem?

Thanks.

I think the problems could fall upon your son downloading different apps and is he using the stock widget which came with the phone? People download apps that mess things up with Android. Uninstalling those apps typically resolves the problem. Or the network could be providing the phone with the wrong time but I highly doubt that is whats going on.

The only time I have had the time off was setting the phone to not use automatic time setting.
