So for whatever reason my gmail app doesn't like to keep me up to date with new emails that arrive. I just don't get some of them plain and simple. There seems to be no method as to why. Just randomly I get some of my emails from gmail and sometimes I miss a few here or there.

I have been using K9 mail now for a couple days and so far so good.

Anyone else have this experience with the gmail app before? If so what did you do to resolve the issue?

I use the Gmail app for gmail and the K9 app for my other email accounts and so far do fine with both, no missing messages.

Have you messed with Gmail settings....like are messages going into spam folders or anything? You get the mail via Gmail on your computer but not on your phone?

What happens is I'll log into igoogle and I have gmail as one of my page items. I'll see that I have new emails. I check my phone and they don't show up. So far K9 is working fine though.

My Gmail is kind of messy too. I have found that if you dont have Auto Sync on it wont automatically retreive messages, and simply launching the app doesnt retreive messages either. What works for me is launching Gmail, hitting the menu button, tapping retreive, closing out of the gmail app, waiting a minute or two, then loading the Gmail app up again. Usually this method brings up all my new emails.
