Finally Found A Thunderbolt Extended Battery Hard Case

Looks like we all finally have a hard rubber TPU case for a our extended battery thunderbolts. Just ordered one and HTC Pedia said they just came it today:

Been looking for this for a long time without modding my existing case!

So they cut the back out of a normal case. Not much protection if you ask me and anyone can do this to a normal case with simple tools. I want it fully encased including the battery section. It looks terrible with the back cut out. .

Its either that case or no case... Which would you rather have?

I don't see many other options out there do you?

I was thinking of getting the equivalent case from Verizon and cutting out the back. Thats what I did on my Incredible and it worked really well. Didn't make the battery seem so fat, provided sufficient protection.

How does the Thunderbolt look in this case from the side? Does it reduce the size of the bulge?

I still haven't decided on getting the extended battery. HTCPedia says they're out of stock until June. I'm in a 3G area. So far my battery life seems to be better than my Incredible with its stock battery.

Ugh. I cut out silicone one that does approximately the same thing while I wait for the elusive rugged Sedio case for the extended battery. If it never does materialize, I may take one and mod it with some extra plastic myself. I'm just throughly discouraged that no one planned ahead enough to manufacture one seeing how many folks use the extended battery.

Seidio posted some pics of their hard case online. Stupid if you ask me. Why not just make the damn thing like the two piece innocase. Also....looks they bypassed the phones kicksand and put their own in.

It's awful, don't order it. I ordered it because I figured it was better than no case but it's not. The worst part about it is the fit. It's actually loose around the top and slips off when taking it in and out of my pocket. I did an online chat with seidio about their cases but they had no eta on the cases.

I have to admit, after looking over their case and my Thunderbolt with it's extended battery, this is a logical way to build it. And, as someone else said, Utility > fashion. On the plus side, I like Seidio cases for their protection and I don't see any reason why this one won't work as good in that department as their other products!

First of all I apologize if that seemed insulting. I'm a big fan of you products and have been way back since my MOTO q 6 yrs ago. I have a drawer full of your stuff. I guess I was just hoping for something like the surface case where it protects but keeps access to the kickstand and speaker.

We appreciate your loyalty and no insult taken! Thank you for sharing your opinion and feedback, I just wanted to explain why we designed it this way! If we had a cut-out, you would lose some protection.
