Its running Android OS 2.2.1 Seems very smooth.. No 4g, but it does have a 3g hotspot..

yeah no kidding, this guy posts a picture and can't answer any of our questions. And we got Vitomins making statements without backing them up.

At least make a phone call and try to surf the web, shouldn't take more than 1 minute to be able to answer a big question of ours.

But then again, I'll find out tomorrow, when I go get mine.

LOL you need proof? It is just common sense dude. Can any other Verizon phone with a CDMA radio talk and surf on 3G?? NO. Therefore a phone with the same exact radio as all the other phones, with exception to the Thunderbolt, cannot talk and surf on 3G.

Yikes! Quite a step backwards! Don't most apps go to the SD anyway? Is this gonna be a big deal?

It would mean always having about 6gb less storage, but depends if you put much media on a device. If not, no problem.

The device apparently does have tiny internal storage. Seems that just like the TB, internal storage touted by reps did not pan out in actual specs. Hey, at least 1gb is better than the 380mb in the X Play ;)

Droid Incredible 2 Review With YouTube Video -- MWD

Right. I just looked at my DINC1 stats and while I've got a ton of apps (and media), everything (I guess is on the SD card) b/c it lists 6.60 total space and I still have 6.45 available! The DINC2 still has 8x while I'm using now. No big deal, I guess.

Incorrect. Verizon stated that 3G phones using SVDO radios would ship in the 1H of this year. Thunderbolt was one of them. Many people assume that the TB's simultaneous voice + data is due to 4G. It's not. The phone uses an SVDO radio for 3G.

At this time, I don't think the Incredible 2 supports SVDO. Still, I'd like to get my hands on one to verify.

How exactly was I incorrect? I said that the Thunderbolt has a different radio than the dInc2 and all other current Verizon phones. Then you basically repeated exactly what I said but added the name of the radio lol

If this is the case, then I apologize. I (wrongfully) assumed that you were referring to the 4G radio in the TB. The Incredible 2 was long rumored to be getting an SVDO radio. I haven't seen enough one way or the other to confirm this as having actually happened.

I had the Inc1. I bought the Inc2 yesterday and I don't regret it at all. In fact, I cannot believe how much better I like a phone with the same 'specs' to me as the original. The phone is quite a bit faster, I don't know how or why. But it is. I know its the updated 1ghz processor, but it isn't close to the same. The onboard storage doesn't matter to me at all. I never used it anyway. Didn't know what to use it for, I use audio galaxy for music so I don't need on the phone. Ram is higher and thats what was important to me, cause thats where my apps are stored. Camera is quite a bit better too. I had a p&s camera that I still took around when I knew I would want some pics. Not anymore, in my opinion my phone can finally replace my p&s.

Those complaining about the internal storage, don't forget they are including a 16GB microsd card with it. That's more than the original Inc had internal/sdcard combined. So not a big deal unless you are planning on storing tons of HD videos. Apps probably could fit within the 1 GB.

I am glad to hear that. But not all apps can be transferred to the card.

You are correct. Most apps that *you* install can be moved to SD. There are some that you install that cannot. All apps that come with the phone cannot be moved to SD (or uninstalled for that matter).

I've posted this in 3 threads, but maybe 4 is the right number to get it through every ones heads. On the original Incredible, you could only use 768MB for apps (Inc2 has 1GB), the other 6.6 was basically unusable because only HTC apps would read it. A 16gig SD card is FAR more useful.

this post was not in anyway directed at you, I only quoted you because I was expounding upon what you said haha. Meant no offense by it.

Not true. There is 8GB user accessible storage on the original Inc. I always kept video and visual voice mail on internal and everything else on sd. Shows up as two separate flash drives when connected to a pc.
