I finally got rid of my blackberry and moved over to the Thunderbolt. I seem to be able to do the basics, but im a little bit lost with more specific stuff.

Trying to get some ringtones that are songs. Is the best way to load the mp3 into the media player and select that song as the ringtone?

Also, this seems like a dumb question, but when you leave an app does it close, or just put it in the background?

Cheers,

E

Welcome!

One thing I strongly suggest you do is get the Dropbox app for your phone and PC.

This will allow you to send files back & forth without having to physically connect your phone to your PC. This includes music, ringtones, pictures, etc.

Android has a bit of a learning curve and can be quirky, but it's well worth it, imho.

Awesome. I have drop box and assumed they must have an app. This will make it super easy to transfer my music! thanks

I assumed everyone would be smart enough to no what I meant. My bad!

Being smart really doesn't play into it, it's more being informed.. Some may not know that little nugget of info that Dark Jedi just handed out..

Just because you know something and someone else doesn't, does not mean they aren't smart. Einstein was said to have trouble making change for a dollar, would you say he's not smart?:D

Like one could pull into question your intelligence based simply on your incorrect use of the word "no" in your statement above.. But i am certain it was just an oversight on your behalf..;)

Just sayin..

Nah. I stand by what I said. No winks required. I assume that if you're on this site, you know about star wars and no that's where the term Droid came from. Stop getting side tracked

Ohh so you knowingly used improper grammar in your sentence? ok.
I stand corrected then on it being an oversight on your part..

And never assume anything, it never ends well.. I ASSUMED you just made a mistake in typing.. But i was wrong too.. You just don't "NO" how to spell.

dammit. i think i meant to go in a different direction in that post and forgot to switch the "no." my bad. i'm usually better at these things. still this doesn't change the point. not all android phones are droid phones. "droid phones" are verizons lineup of what appear to be themed android phones. they all share a dark, industrial design. with the exception of the d2.

Very :) enjoying your phone?

Yes. I love it. Coming from my BB its a HUGE step up. Being able to actually find apps and surf the web is great. Like everyone, the battery is a little below par, but I just bought a couple 1700 mAh batteries and hope to swap out when I need to. Ive read that almost every 4G phone has this issue, so that is the price you pay for speed!:D
