Now I'm down to about 27. I need to really push this phone. I want to make sure I'm not going to have any more problems after the point where I have to pay for them.

I've already rooted and flashed Mikfroyo. Now how do I really push this to the limit?

Any ideas? Thanks

Woah! what kind of time constraints are you under? You gonna get disc'd? (disconnected) Like ocn stated, what are ya tryin to do? the only thing that comes to mind for me as well is overclocking, and if thats the case, its easily enough done, but id be careful about burning up your processor. Give us a list of what limits youre trying to reach, and im sure youll get what youre after man:)

edit: i just saw your post about a new rom, and saw that you have a refurb phone, is it a temporary loaner that you dont care about blowing up? And if you hafta give it back at the end of this 30 day window, then id be careful about overclocking and blowing it up, as im sure theyd know what happened, or would be able to find the files on the device once they get it back (maybe LoL) ok, so im bored on lunch, and this ones got my attention (for now, OOOH look, something shiny!!!)

After purchase, you have 30 days to return for full refund. At 31 days you bought it.

push it to the limit? what the hell can you do to it? What are typical problems with the evo? Im not really aware of something that wears out or breaks from use. I only see bricks if you mess with bootloader and radios in a bad way. Are you trying to brick it lol?

Good luck cooking the cpu damn thing bootloops before i can go over 1228 :). Try setting it to 1190-1190 and governor to performance, plugging it in and playing games for the next 27 days...?

Im sorry but this post makes no sense to me LOL

ok guys thanks for all the suggestions. Sorry I wasnt specific enough.

If you look at some of my more recent posts/threads I was having a problem where my evo would just randomly restart. It didn't always do this. I went at least 6 months with out any problems. Then all of the sudden random restarts and eventually got worse and would do some boot loops. Even a battery pull couldnt break the cycle sometimes. I'd have to pull the battery for a minute and then leave the device off for a half hour before it would start normally.

I was guaranteed to get a shut down restart if I used the internet or navigation as well as some other stuff. This started when I was using fresh. The last version not this one.

... and these restarts were bootloops. I just knew from being here to do a battery pull every time. It was doing this a couple dozen times a day at the end. Even when I unrooted and returned to stock without any user added apps.

So the tech tells me this is a hardware problem. There's no repair. OK well it took 6 months to get to this point with my original evo. How do I push this one to get to that point in less than 30 days? Maybe it won't happen, but if it does it is my problem after 30 days. What do I do?

Thanks

well i have the insurance plan and i was having the same problem with random reboots. i unrooted and took it and with no problem i was able to get a refurbished one. hopefully it won't happen again, but if it does i'm covered by sprint. so i would say get insurance that way you don't have to worry about it.
