The big question: Will your Android phone get it? The official response is that they intend to upgrade every device to the best software version they can support. Not all phones and chips can support all software revisions, like not all old computers can run Windows Vista or Windows 7.
We know every phone that was slated to get Android 2.0, like the HTC Hero, is going direct to 2.1, though.

So looks like the Moment is going to be kept up to date, and we'll get 2.1.

Google trying to take a more active role in marketing & selling Android phones. Can only be good for Android owners.

Rumors Say European HTC Hero To Get Android 2.1 In February | Android Central

Think there is truth in this rumor? Nexus One is released with Android 2.1 by HTC. Does this mean Sprint is waiting on Samsung so both Hero and Moment can get updates at the same time by H1, 2010?

Forgive my ignorance, but would 2.0 or 2.1 (whichever they offer for the Moment) fix the keyboard lag and the bad battery sensor levels?

If the release is CL14, you will win. Wondering why CL14 did not have battery meter fix.

Ya probably but I'm way too much of a wimp to do it myself. I updated leaked software to my Blackjack and Blackberry and did lots to my Nextels but Androids make my way too nervous! I like my phone too much to F it up!

That's kind of how I feel...I messed around with the couple Palm Treos that I've owned, but I like this phone way too much to mess it up. I'm going to wait until at least February. If the official stuff isn't out by then, then I'll try my hand at the zefie stuff.
