So I just got my G2x and was trying to figure out why I'm not getting LED notifications. To my surprise, the phone doesn't offer this feature. But what I don't get (besides why they would leave out such an important feature) is that it looks like the phone does have LED lights on the upper left corner. There are 3 dots that look like lights. So what gives? Does anyone know what these lights are for? I think I'm gonna return the phone, I depend on those LED notifications. I read a thread about NoLED and a file on a Swedish web site that is supposed to somehow give you LED notification, but I couldn't figure out how they worked. Any insight would be appreciated.

I'm not typically one of the people who posts replies like this, but I really want to point out that our G2X subforum is not very big, and there are already probably 3 threads all on this topic. Please search or at least look over the forum before posting.

To answer your question, the three little things that look like lights are sensors. Ambient light, proximity and what have you. There is the app from the swedish website which utilizes the lights for the capacitive buttons if you need something like that.

is there a link for that app on the market? I have not been able to download it.

You may want to read the other thread on this page regarding LED notification. The "Swedish website" the OP is referring to is not affiliated with the Android Market. If you do not read Swedish, copy the link to the site, and paste it into a web based translator such as Google Translate or Babel Fish, which will translate websites, given the http link.

Just in case:
