Listen to the voicemail, then stay on the line and it'll say something like "Press 3 to delete the message" and after you've deleted it, it'll get rid of the notification. If you listen to it and hang up without deleting, the notification will stay there.
Atleast that's how it is on most phones I've used.
if the above doesnt work let me know and i will leave myself a voicemail then see what i can do to be rid of it, however if you have a look on one of my other posts about the manual it should be in there somewhere.

On my phone i just tapped the link to autodial the answering machine, listened to the message then deleted it, notification removed itself.
Try leaving yourself a message then listening too it?

I've had this a dew times, here's what you do. When you listen to the message you will be given these options:
Press 1 to save the message
Press 2 to reply
Press 3 to delete the message
I hate having that icon on my screen and i had to pay to listen to a voicemail just so i could get rid of it.
In the end i called orange and asked them to totally disable my voicemail so people couldn't leave me one.
You need me, ring me back later!
