Rooted Droid Going back to Verizon.. Opinions please

I have a Droid that is rooted and I am to send it back after my replacement comes in the mail tomorrow.. I cannot access the boot recovery screen and the power button that puts the device to sleep has some sort of software glitch that requirers to press the power button numerous times to wake up the screen.. Otherwise the the device works fine.. I have managed to remove the SU .apk.. The only other changes I made while it has been rooted is to remove VVM, MP3 app and cooperate calander which are still hidden.. What do you think will be the outcome of this debaucle?

#1 Verizon will see that the device is rooted and charge me full retail.

#2 Verizon will over look that the device has been rooted

#3 Have no freakin idea and don't give a shit

#4 Curious to see what happens

I sent mine back look at my posts and follow my guide to unroot on post i started. it works and removes everything including superuser permissions. and honestly it depends on who looks at the phone when the recieve it at the warehouse. my friend sent back his and never got charged and got a brand new replacement.

Yep, Your post is how I managed to remove the su .apk.. Problem comes in when I cannot boot into recovery by holding down the "x" button.. No way to force load the fresh copy of 2.0.1 without that important step.. I have a feeling that my device will be fine once 2.1 is pushed.. My problem started when I removed an app called mylock that allowed the device to by-pass the slider lock screen.. Not really sure that I can contribute the problem to the app.. Timing was good

Have you tried using the SDK tools? 'adb reboot recovery' should send your phone into recovery mode. Just make sure that USB debug mode is turned on and the usb drivers are installed.
