Hey guys, I've rooted, installed jit, removed useless sony apps,
I have around only 40MB - 65MB of ram?
is that poor?
When I restart my phone, it takes a long time to reload apps etc.. then I have about 100MB.. then half an hour later, it drops to 65MB...
I'm not sure what is eating the ram? or is this normal?

please help me :(

LOL another pointless thread.

How many times do people need to discuss this? Huge amounts of empty RAM is just a waste, aggressively killing everything is pointless as it just restarts later on.

Just root ya phone, remove the crap, disable auto sync on stuff that does not need it, good to go. I have done a few minor tweaks using [BOOST] Give your X10 a REAL boost! [Root req.] [28-4-2011] [Soon even more!] - xda-developers The only thing I changed are the values of Autokiller to 35,45,90. This gives me around 45-50 meg free, seems optimum for my phone and usage.

Don't apologise mate, just do some research. Some small tweaking can help alot, I generally have around 50 meg free. I like this level as everything runs smooth and also stuff I use often stays in the background.

Not going to go into details, but huge amounts of free RAM is completely pointless, you might aswell have bought a 5 year old phone if you are trying to make it use so little ram.

Biggest issue with Android is people have got so used to having to keep scrubbing ram clean in Windows, they do not appreciate how Linux, and by extension Android, handle memory.

FREE RAM IS GENERALLY WASTED RAM. Fiddle with the tweaks and find the one that gives you best performance, ignore what free ram says. If your phone runs perfectly and smoothly with 40 meg free then so be it.

Well...free RAM is great for running benchmark tests.

Apart from that...a little is enough.
