To add Firmware, you need to download a ROM and put it on a MicroSD Card; turn off your tablet and put the MicroSD Card in your tablet, then start up your tablet. It should read the ROM and install the new firmware. Be careful though and find the right ROM or you could brick your tablet.

I've got exactly the same problem like yours. My chinese tablet stuck and froze on startup displaying only the robot which stood still. The tablet is not booting anymore 2 weeks after i received it. I had been busy finding a solution to fix my tablet and fortunately i finally DID make it work again.
