Diamond Jack - 2d retro platform game

Hello,

I'd like introduce you new platform game for Android: Diamond Jack.

Software development is my daily job, so I get an idea to create funny platform game in my spare time.

I love old platform games: Super Mario, Montezuma, Indiana Jones or Pitfall. Because I could not find good platform game for Android, I decided to create my own :)

Game is currently under development and is finished in about 70%.

I need your opinions, comments, to know if I'm on the right track, so tell me what you think, what you like to change, maybe you have an idea or sth :)

You can check my game blog.

You will find there some game screenshots and development log.

I love these type of games and this one looks great from the screenshots. Can't wait!

I'm glad you like it :)

As soon, as I go to the beta stage, I put a movie from gameplay. There are just still some things to do.

At this time, there is just one test level, but creating new levels should be quite fast process, because I use Tiled Map Editor for that.

I think, giving a community possibility of creating new game levels may be quite good idea..

Will the level editor be public available?

Hi,

I have done some tests, just to know if it is possible to do with limited resources of time and developers (me :)).

At this time, I think, it is possible. Work on level editor in "the cloud" has been started. Soon I will introduce alpha screens on my blog, and later, online test version.

The goal is, to let users create their own levels for publishing in a cloud, so other users could download them, play and rate.

Second step, will be generating worlds from these levels and some social features.

Cool :)

I posted an entry on your game on my blogs, as i think that a game with a level editor will be something which could become quite popular. Good luck.

Thank you !

And of course, there is a progress in a game development. I'm working hard, but this is really big project, so please be patient.

There will be mobile game and portal with level editor and rankings in a cloud.

I think, this will be very fun, and unique experience :)

Hello again !

This was a long time, I know. But at least it is: gameplay video. A game itself is almost ready, but it needs whole environment to be fun: level editor and leaderboards in a cloud. All I can say, is that I have finished level editor and working on the cloud portal. So, be patient.. again :)

Meanwhile, watch this:

Hello!

Don't even think, I'm dead or something :)

I worked hard on my game and created game portal. At this time in beta stage, but you can request betatester key if you think you can help.

Watch how to create simple level:

Second milestone of my project is to connect mobile with cloud. So, downloading created levels and playing them on phone. Next, synchronizing stats and browsing leaderboards.

Hello,

Diamond Jack release date is slowly coming, and I'm working day by day to make it funny :)

Last days, I have done syncing stats between game portal and android game.

You can see how it looks on portal:

and on Android:

Another feature will be leaderboards with top rankings; hi score, top deads ;), top fastest players, and something like that :)
