I am curious, I know that on here I posted asking about having to get a new sim card for the Thunderbolt each time it is activated, but I have found something interesting on a review of the Thunderbolt and I wanted to see if it is true. I found a review on youtube.com that states you only need the sim card for 4G service on the TB and that the TB will work on 3G without a sim card.

Now my question: Will the TB work on 3G without a sim card?

Why is it cool? You can not use the thunderbolt on any other network then Verizon's regardless of what sim you get.

Thunderbolt can only use verizon spectrum. It can not be use on any other carrier in the world.

Yes, but once Lte becomes standard, and multibandwidth chips become normal, then you should at least buy a phone with no carrier subsidy that is unlocked.

I recently went on a field trip to ATT,
And they told me that with LTE coming for all carriers and that there will be some frequency changes and then "carrier exclusive phones will be a thing of the past".
I officially give up. Any you believed them? Nice. Do you believe everything marketing tells you?

Because I am completely serous about the cookie thing, heard it from a rep myself.
