When you first plug your EVO into the PC w/ the USB chord, there should be a prompt giving you 4 options, for what you want to do. (NOTE: If you saved one of the selections as a default, you won't see the prompt.)

Make sure that the USB Drive option is selected.

Once you have that selected, wait a few seconds and eventually, you'll get the pop-up prompt to view files, play music, etc...

Select View Folders/Files. When you do that, it'll open up File Explorer with your SD Card showing all the files saved. Depending on where you've saved your pictures, copy and paste onto your PC.

If you're looking for pictures taken on your camera, you have to go into the DCIM/100 Media folders, in order to get those pics.

thx so much for reply

when I plug my EVO into the PC, using the usb cord it does not pop up with those 4 options, i have to go to settings, connect to pc and manually select out of the 4 options which are Charge Only,HTC Sync,Disk Drive and USB tethering

I choose Disk Drive because i have no option that says USB drive

am i doing it right or is there something im missing?

got it bro, I restarted my phone and that fixed the problem, thx so much man

Sorry, was doing it off memory. Disk Drive is definitely the correct one. Glad that the re-start fixed it. Sometimes, it takes a while for the phone to actually recognize the drive.

If the prompt doesn't come up, that means you selected one of the 4 as the default function when you plug into the PC. Whenever that happens, you don't really need to go into the Settings. All you have to do is pull down the toolbar, click on the section that identifies the phone is plugged in (whether charge only, connect to pc, disk drive, usb tether), when you click on that, it'll pull up the selection window and you can choose the new function accordingly.

Glad you were able to fix it with a re-start.
