Hello,

I'm owner of a xperia x8 and I've got a problem. My phone does not contain enough internal memory to install all (for me) necessary apps.

I've rooted my phone but I don't know how to move apps. So could anyone tell me how to move them to my sd card (I've got Android 2.1)?

Today I tried to install app2sd on my phone, but it failed I used this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=8579902. It also worked, but my phone memory was too full to install app2sd and now I can't unroot my phone: - exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: Exec format error (8) -,

Otherwise my phone couldn't connect to wifi!!.

A couple of hours ago I total reseted my phone and sd card and now I got the problem that my phone don't detect my sim card (and others)

The answer to this all should be reinstalling android, but this is impossible because I dont have netwerk service.

I'm really desperate now. PLEASE HELP!

@jipthebest,
It's like from one disaster to another...

If you had a nandroid backup (every rooted user must take care to have one!), then just restore it.

If you don't have a nandroid backup, then just flash a custom ROM.

If you don't have a custom ROM, them just flash a RUU (ROM Upgrade Utility).

If your phone is (was) branded, then put a Gold card in it.

If you wanted to have a 2nd partition on SD card, then simply make one using a partition software on PC.

I already tried to use link2sd, but I don't have 2 partitions on my sd card :(

Just save your sd card data to a PC then either create a second partition using a recovery or use a partition manager program on your PC while your phone is connected or your SD card is in a card reader on the PC. I made my partition size 1024 MB and it works fine. I have a 16 GB SD card installed.

Another program that will move more programs (but not completely - like App2SD does) to the SD card is Move2SDEnabler. This allows you to move apps that are normally blocked. This program is also for rooted phones and does not require a second partition on your SD card.
