has anyone had a issue of the batter going down really fast with not much use? maybe ive crapped out my battery with all my flashing back and forth:( im going to flash back to icarus which had great batter life for me so if it drains fast i know i toasted my battery. i had the cpu speed set at 600 and even 710 and battery life was the same. used set cpu to make screen off make speed 245 and min 122 and thats didnt help either. no bluetooth or gps or wifi are on either. can anyone reccomend a good place to find a battery if i need one? screen time out is set to 30 seconds and brightness level is like 40 %

CM7 is going to have worse battery life because it is more demanding on the system. Also make sure you have coverage because if your phone is always searching for service it will kill it. Mine went from 100 to 7 in a few hours with NO use, but had no service and it was still looking for it. But CM7 is going to use some more battery, just a sacrifice, it's not too bad. Furthermore, you can find a battery on ebay but i doubt you fried yours. The rom is just more demanding than your expectations.

Mine is the same on CM7 and CM6. I even went as far as to use Android Assistant and TIBU to remove a lot of stuff on the builds i will never use, and my battery life still goes from 100% to 70% within 30 minutes if i listen to music, and it stays around 80% if i do not..still 20% drop in battery percentage within 30 minutes is not a good thing, and i have decent service..usually 2-3 bars. So maybe crappy battery..i don't know..
I went as far as to freeze the CM7 reporting app, Market, and a few others as when i would remove them from the boot process and shut them off manually with Android Assistant within a minute they started back up again. But even with them frozen my battery was still draining like crazy, and i turned the CPU down to 600..

remember all using a battery app will do more harm than good, also make sure you uncheck gps in setting, also using wifi will drain you also, so make sure you check all the setting and stuff before assuming...not to be mean or nothing just saying... Happy CM7 to all...

Ran CM7 and CM6 with same apps and system settings. The battery life on 6 was exponentially better. Even Issac has said there is an issue somewhere. I think this is a rare case where the ROM is the source. Most likely it is a demand issue, if you can live with it, enjoy. I went back to 6 personally.

but remember everyone ascend is different...oneof my phones runs great at 729, and other one runs great at 748 with only a few boot and everything has settle...but also running on demand is a better setting then running on performance depending on what you doing, and my battery never gets hot...

I just wanted to note, That you've got to expect the battery to live a little bit less due to the graphics, The themes you use, The overclocking, Widgets, etc. If you are not using your phone, Make sure to set it back to either 480 or 600 and put the mininum 122. I've been running this phone 14 hours, and I'm at 70 percent. I've also been running my wifi for that whole 14 hours as well.

Also, Make sure your screen is dim unless it's necessary that you need it to be higher. :]
