well i have had insertcoins 2.0.1 rom for a while now and its getting laggy,
i would like to try something new, i have seen the sense 3 roms by insert coin,
what do i need to know about these?
is it a simple upgrade in the same way i flashed to 2.0.1?

is 2.0.1 still the latest version?

Thanks
Ben

cm7 is basically how the memory is used in the phone, if you flash a custom table you are able to shrink the system partition in the phone therefore creating more room for usable memory for apps etc, check the link i posted,
It is a sense rom but the new sense 3.0 if you go here there are pictures and a awsome video review done by CdTDroiD!
hope this helps.

you can check your partition size and type by running Gparted.

It writes a whole pile of the ROM to the SD on install so you MUST HAVE - CM7 + 1G EXT3/4 to setup.

No worries on the linking bud, ive just started doing a whole lot more that will be up soon.

cheers for the info, i look forward to seeing your reviews!! i am quite interested in having a look myself but i need a bigger sd card before i start! i suppose i could back it up and install the 1gb then put everything back on, but that would only leave me with about 400mb to play about with. My card is only 8gb. i can feel an ebay search coming on!! lol

My Nandroids are around 600 MB these days, and I like to keep more than one on the card in case of problems. I'm managing to keep about 1 GB free on my 16 GB card, but it takes a little care.

I'm waiting for 32GB card prices to become sensible...

I think the main thing is whether the seller is trustworthy (then try to get feedback on the brand). Avoid ebay - there were a rash of problems here a few months back where people had been sold fake cards (small card hacked to report its capacity as much higher than reality).

x2 i got caught out by this! i got my money back though, i got one off amazon in the end, it was a 16gb card was branded and had 'retail packing' but the serial number was recognised with scandisk..
it was all a fake and the car would hold data then loose it...
not good.
