T-Mobile and At&T 3g are incompatible, they work on different frequency bands.

Hmm.. are there any devices that support 3g on both?

I need a phone now, would like to go to T-mobile, and, am on contract with AT&T for another 6 months. Am looking for something (unlocked) that would work on both so I can ride out my AT&T contract, switch to T-mobile, but leave the option of going back to AT&T if I change location in the future.

Is there anything out there for me, or is this a pipe dream? TIA

(btw, it's because AT&T is abysmal in my neighborhood-- I'm a fan of the euro model where carriers compete for service outside of phone offerings, but maybe it won't work here yet).
