As long as they keep releasing Bing phones, which is a total sham and the WRONG bass-ackwards way of doing business, then they will be "Berizon" to me. It's similar enough most people know what I'm talking about.
The Revolution is supposed to get Bing. If something changes and it ends up getting released Bing-free, I will start calling them Verizon again. I'm sick of having to remove Bing myself, or download other devs' that have had to do the hard work of removing Bing on a GOOGLE phone. Instead of just making a product BETTER in order to get more money from customers - the way a normal business is supposed to increase their profits - they VASTLY cripple the product, providing an inferior experience to end users, and take money in the back door from Microsoft, who provides them with the inferior product.
It's simply a business practice I do not approve of. If they were providing an improved experience to consumers and getting some kickbacks for it, as many companies do, I would understand, but Bing surge is woefully inadequate and bulky compared to Google search, and VZ's navigator not only costs money to use eventually, albeit not much, yet it's substantially inferior to google nav.
I guess it's not dissimilar from what computers bought at a retailer have on them, as far as trialware and bloat. As a consumer, I build my own or at least avoid the brands with the bloat in favor of the few brands you find that have almost none, and I advise friends to do the same. The difference here is that you are extremely limited to high end phones, unlike the myriad computer selection you have at a store. When I bought my phone the choices were Droid X or Samsung Fascinate.
