Root RSD Lite won't work

RSD Lite wont work
I am running windows 7 on a dell x64 laptop.
I have the sbf file on my desktop.
I learned that when I had it named something long (like the origional name) it would not even allow me to click the start button, it was all grayded out. With a smaller name I can click the start button but I get a fail error message instantly. What gives?

is it even connecting to the phone? Do you have the needed drivers installed? Do you have the phone in diag mode?

yes phone and drivers installed correctly. the problem lies with the program recognizing the file properties. they dont show

some how you lost the file association then is my only guess. Goto, start, default programs > association file type or protocol to a program.

OR open the file thru RSDLite like most ppl do that if thats not how you are opening it.

RSDLite opens the SBF file just fine for me with it original name. Might try uninstalling and reinstalling RSDLite too. Windows is funky like that yanno. You would think M$ could get it right one day since they keep stealing from every other OS out there to make windows work lol.

start by renaming the file to x.sbf

I ended up going up to 6, so x2.sbf didn't install, x23.sbf didn't install, and so forth, but when I got to x23456.sbf, it installed
