Help Samsung apps - Camera Firmware update

Hi,

Any solution for the Samsung's camera RED SPOT issues? It seems like the problem is still there. Most probably will send back to shop and change it.

Very much doubt that will fix it, its not a fault per se. Its a 'feature' of this type of camera, its due to it being so small I think. Samsung should have compensated for it in the firmware/software/drivers but they haven't.

...hang on. If "Samsung should have fixed it with firmware/software/drivers" then surely a firmware update is exactly how Samsung should fix it?

It is indeed, i was saying that returning it to the shop for a new one wont fix the problem.
Hopefully this will be fixed in a future update. Its a problem the HTC HD2 had when it was released, don't know if it was ever fixed by htc though (it was alot more noticeable though, i actually looked for it on this phone)

Thanks Teknik. Hopefully Samsung release the update ASAP. I thought is a hardware issue. Feel down for such a bad quality smartphone that cost over 500 pound. :(

I have only just seen this update in Samsung Apps also, rather than the usual Kies etc.. "GalaxyS2 Camera Firmware Update" is stated as Version: 11.7.01 (10 August 2011).

So this says to me the update is perhaps 1st July 2011, even though it lists todays' date. I do not know what the current firmware is on the phone in terms of version number so I can't tell if it's a large update or not

Has anyone tried this firware update via Samsung Apps and can actually spot whether it is worthwhile or not?
