I doubt we will see the Rev, yet alone three devices this week

There is absolutely nothing published or mentioned about these devices. It ain't happening. Releasing three devices or even one in two days is as unlikey as the Cubs winning a World Series. Goat curse or not. Even for VZW, the level of info is too low.

"UDATE":

No info yet and zip from VZW stores, so about 101% bunk now. Even the supersecret TB and the low level Inc 2 had info this close in.

It is not happening this week. The sales displays would have arrived in store this week as well as they would announce pre-order starting Wednesday. Google I/O is this week as well. Verizon also never releases on the date that is rumored.

I agree. Somebody always gets an advance handset to do a review. You can't release a pig in a poke. Some old reviews out there, but nothing timed to a release this week. Not gonna happen.

This LTE stuff is way iffy. Everything keeps getting delayed and pushed back. With the Charge leading the retreat.

I had been waiting to compare this LG 4G offering to the TB I gave back. Although really planning on a D3. Silence on that phone is deafening. Now I'm thinking get an old used D2 and "wait til next year". Give 'em some time to iron out the LTE kinks.

I'm pretty sure that phone itself is ready for release at this point. It must be some technical LTE thing that Verizon is still working on. I forgot to grab it here but someone posted an article on it on Charge forum, which makes sense to me.

The Charge delay was not really a delay, since Best Buy has been selling the Charge for two weeks now (Lexington). Seems there is very LOW interest in the Charge, due to price, more than a tech issue.

VZW seems to be on auto-pilot for Android devicse, so if the OEM does not do the ads, there are none. Even the HTC TB was add drvien by HTC.

VZW has sold their $oul to Apple and lost all focus on Android.

The Charge is officially NOT released yet. Some Best Buys might be selling them despite Verizon putting a hold on sales at the last minute.

Looks like Verizon is having LTE issues all around.

Point is it is out and about, but will sell little to nothing at the $300 two year price. People aint' THAT naive.

BTW, looks like May 12th was pure BS by some person with BS on their brain, since the Revolution was resubmitted for FCC approval- THIS week.

Why can't folks just say nothing, rather than spout out rumors concocted in their minds. Seems obvious the "information" did not come from LG NA.

Funny and sad. Faddy.

I am still going with my speculated date of May 26th. There is a leak of the x2 for that date and I think we will see the LG around that time. One non 4G phone and one 4G phone. I speculate on or around that date.

The charge is available. Target has had it available via their wireless website for over a week.

not sure if that link works...

I think we may see something by the end of month. The second pass through the FCC was probably a fixed version to make 4G work right, or maybe an IPS screen?

A key for me was Netflix support, but HTC has ponied up to support devices that have not been Blockbuster bloated. My Incredible works GREAT with Netflix on 3G :)

If the LG has an IPS display, I will still consider it, but if standard LCD tech, I will pass. If this had a dual core, I would probably jump, but Tegra 2 and LTE apparently are not meant to be... I wonder if this is why the delay with the Xoom's LTE?

Netflix streaming is nice one, but it's not high on my desired feature list. For me, it's good screen, camera, battery, reliable 4G speed and HDMI out.

Charge is just out officially, and it seems to deliver those features. But if Revolution does as well as Charge I will choose it over Charge as it's got more internal storage without RFS hampering I/O performance.

IF the LG has an IPS display and the 3G/4G radio plays a LOT nicer than the Thunderbatterydrainer's radio, I still may bite.

If I knew for sure the Droid X2 would get Netflix, I may get it though....

Question is how long will the LG be stuck with 2.2? Since it is a Binger, it will probably lag behind other devices.

LG Revolution makes a second trip to the FCC; more power conscious - Phone Arena

This is interesting that reason for second FCC is implementation of better power management for LTE. Charge seems to outlast Tbolt handily almost by double. I will see if Revolution outlasts Charge when it comes.

Regarding IPS display thing, rest assured that all high end LG phones this year will have it regardless of how it's written on spec. Some may just call it TFT-LCD though (it's not technically incorrect). They have enhanced version IPS display called Nova display in Optimus Black, which provides the highest brightness than any other screens.

I broke down this weekend and got the charge. I got it from Costco so I have 90 days to return this guy for something better. I sure hope something better comes along because the charge is sluggish right out pf the gate. The only things going for it is the display and hdmi out. It is also fairly light weight. Performance wise, not really an upgrade to my incredible. I do have to say that the display is fabulous.

The Hummingbird (though "old" in tech time) is still a good chipset and same level as the 8655 in the TB and Revolution. Better for 3D, but about equal for game emulation or other cpu heavy tasks.

The issue with the Charge is low ram, slow file system and Cheese Wiz. Okay, I added the "Cheese" part.

True on the processor part but the dev support for the incredible is so great it makes up the difference. I am sure there will be better dev support in the future for the charge, but out of the box I was hoping it would out perform my incredible, which it doesn't. Just scrolling home screens lag.

Charge looks like refreshed Fascinate plus 4G LTE. Fascinate got pretty big dev support too, so it probably won't take long for them to port their ROM works to Charge. Once RFS is removed, Charge screen will move much faster.

I will keep fingers crossed for this date.

LG Revolution coming to Verizon May 26, as well?

Yeah, I saw that and the engadget post. Man, I was really hoping that the Revolution would give me a reason to take back the Charge but it sure doesn't seem like the Revolution has anything over the Charge. Perhaps Netflix, but that isn't important to me. I haven't seen any rumored pricing yet but I can't see them asking over $199.99 for it.
