If it hangs its not gonna work, fall back to previous build. Seems you're not alone tho, alot of ppl have had a issue installing the latest build.

People love to make things difficult. Even if it was not on the market, you could still install the .apk through the phone without cwm.

Not sure if this is outdated info regarding the 2.2 firmware upgrade but I went into the metropcs store to pay my bill and asked the guy working there if and when we will be getting a firmware upgrade to 2.2. He said I should expect a text message from metropcs sometime mid-next week with a link to go download the upgrade. I have been dealing with this guy for a while and he is pretty bright and straight forward. Hope he is right!

Man there's not going to be a upgrade. you think they gonna upgrade your phone when they sell the same phone with the upgrade already on it if you owned metro would you upgrade just upgrade yourself you'll love it

Although i'm with cricket and don't know how much my opinion about this matters but... people who get stock 2.2 on their phones out of the box root their phones to get CM roms. Other than people who don't want to root, i don't understand why everyone wants a downgrade, which is what the official "upgrade" is going to be. With that said, i would like it to appear simply so the devs can have at it, but other than that, i see no use for it. Just my opinion, which may be worth nothing.

I DID IT!!!! I downloaded new build from Wiki then used ROM manager and in less than 10 minutes Ive got the latest build. If this noob can do it, anybody can do it. Thanks isaacj87 and everyone involved. HooRah

I can't afford to replace this phone, no matter how stupid that sounds... lol I don't make enough money to pay for the necessities, since I work part time... I wouldnt be afraid, it is virtually impossible to brick this phone. Just follow the steps in the guide and you should have no problems. I also suggest you use a card reader vs usb to the computer. When I first started flashing I couldnt get them to work (card reader fixed that). If you need help feel free to pm me and I will walk you through it.

lmao, what a poopy pants, there is no official rom coming period atleast not soon... I work at a cricket store in memphis, tn, if anyone had the inside 411 our store would have it, I recommend cm7, its what I have.
