This may seem like a dumb question, but when you click on the home screen and it gives you the option to go to the ADW Launcher home or the HTC Sense home, you can click for the ADW to be the default. If for some reason i decided i wanted to go back to HTC Sense (god forbid), how to do i switch the default?

Download the free app Home Switcher from the market. Then you can go back and forth all you want.

Settings - Applications - Manage applications - ADWLauncher EX - uncheck launch by default

After that when you hit home...it will give you the choice again

The above is great advice....IF you were to have selected the ADW as the default action when it asked you the first time to choose a default....I ACCIDENTALLY DID THE OPPOSITE! I chose the Android Home (or whatever its called...the usual android home screen) as the default instead....And as that is not an app, how on earth do I reset the default so I can have the ADW as my default when I press my home button?!
Hope that makes sense!
I would love some help on this ASAP!
Thanks ~

Uninstall ADW EX and then reinstall it. That will allow you to chose again.

I tried that already, but it was no use, my phone seemed to remember the setting (I am using an LG Optimus One).
Perhaps I did not uninstall it fully? Could you maybe give me a guide/steps on how to uninstall it correctly?
Also, is there any way to backup all my themes/settings so that when I re-install I don't need to go hunt for the themes/re-download/re configure the settings, while still making it so that the phone will allow me to choose the default for the home screen again?
Thanks ~

Go to the settings/Applications/manage applications menu - Uninstall from there. Also someone referenced launcher switcher (from the Market) in an earlier post. You should consider trying that app if unistalling does not work.

ADW EX has an option in the ADW settings menu to save and restore configuration. I would save the configuraion once you get it to where you confortable.

Why uninstall and reinstall....that is too many taps.

When you get to the uninstall menu

settings>application>manage applications> adw Launcher Ex.

At the bottom of that screen below uninstall is launch by default. Clear the defaults there.

This works for any default app you set. Launcher and browser are the two most promiment ones I know.

This is across the board on all android phones...
