I have my G2 rooted running CM7. I will restore my nandroid and install the netflix apk I have on my sdcard. I'll report back if it works or not. Right now it says not a supported device.
My phone is not in my office space with me but I did try and install off the online Android market. So far it hasn't come through yet. Not sure, but it may have something to do with the fact I'm rooted and on GBread. I'll try again when I leave work and do it from the phone version Market.
Gave it a shot on my Tbolt. I get everything to load up just fine. When I try to play it, however, it goes to the loading screen, then just drops back to the main menu. Oh well. Hopefully we will get more officially supported devices in the next few days. If not, I'm sure someone will figure something out.

But but but I have a droid x! I want to watch netflix movies on my phone!
Blah. I honestly thought the DX would be in the first batch of phones to get new apps/features. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait.
--didn't I read an article a while back that said something along the lines of Netflix wouldn't release streaming on older phones due to security issues in the hardware or some such?--
It does not work on my G2 running CM7. I guess because the rom calls the phone a vision and not a G2. Need to edit the system file I guess.
Edited my Build.Prop file so it shows as a G2, netflix saw it as a G2 but still wouldn't play. Swype quit working after the edit. So I had to restore my nandroid
HTC Incredible here - still running stock/not rooted. I installed (which took some time) and started running 'Sports Night' for a couple minutes on the phone. It was pretty darn good quality (on 3G, haven't tried it on WiFi yet because the WiFi in the office sucks at the moment), and the phone didn't get hot.
The only issue I had was that the install was slow and once it was done I had a low space message on the phone, but I cleared a few things and uninstalled a couple others that I don't use and that cleared it right up. I wonder, though, if that's going to be a regular occurrence with this app - running out of space.
I guess time will tell. But I love it so far on the Incredible.
Ha, I'm downloading it to my Nook Color now (running CM7). Let's see how this works.
Well, looks like I can get as far as where to stream content, and everytime it says my device isn't supported. Bummer.
Got it direct from the market yesterday when I left the office. Downloaded and installed fine, but for some reason the app closes after I try and log in. Going to try some more playing around with it this afternoon.
