Just got done having a total meltdown that netflix came to the HTC Incredible (my former phone) and not the Thunderbolt. Netflix is a big reason I sold my Samsung Galaxy tab and bought an ipad. Buying an ipad made me feel dirty but it delivers.

Any other crybabies like me out there?

Now I have to clean up the mess from the meltdown and it's all Netflix fault. WAAAAAAA!

I'm in similar boat, wanted Xoom, but got iPad2 for Netflix. Don't want to do same for a phone now. I blame Netflix and the lack of competition, if they had real competition there woudl be Andoird player by now. They have no incentive, my same pet peeve with them for their lack of 1080p and 5.1 on streaming, why should they, only Amazon offers that and charges by the rental. I keep wishing Amazon or Google woudl jump into subscription stremaing to force Netflix to compete.

Both the EVO and incredible have same chip as the thunderbolt

Yes, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1 GhZ processor, if I'm not mistaken.

I think something's up...because it doesn't support the Inc 2, does it? Just the original Incredible? That seems pretty silly.

I loaded up the .apk and it was doing the DRM issues as well. Maybe it's more of an DRM issue than actual raw specs?

The evo and the thunderbolt are nearly identical in prowess. So it's not hardware.

It's the same frequency and brand name, but are you sure it's the exact same model? My friend seemed to think that the idiosyncrasies of even minor architecture changes could be an issue.

So, DRM most likely means that it's just a configuration/verification issue? I found a quote online from a Netflix representative that they would be "aggressive" in their verification and approval of new phones.
