Okay, got this bad boy a few minutes ago, and thought I'd share some pics.

Obviously I can't say anything for the life yet, but the form - wow!

Remember how the 1st Inc's extended battery was chunky and bulged in the middle of the phone? This has a smooth, streamlined look. Much less bulgy, more subtle curves. Feels GREAT in the hand.

I had the first Dinc, with the extended battery. It was big, but the phone was compact enough that I thought it didn't really matter. The new Inc is obviously bigger and so is that ginormous battery hump.

I also had the Dinc1 with the extended battery, and like I said in the first post, this is nowhere near as bulky.

How do you like the extended battery, how much more time does it equate to for you? I've been considering it but i'm waiting to get a good baseline on the phone as it is. Just got the phone this past weekend and first couple of days the battery drained rapidly to the point of almost being returned. I did a soft reset on it last night and today it has stayed at a level I feel is right for the usage. Accessories for this phone seem to be pretty scarce so far, do they have any silicone cases or anything yet for the extended battery cover ?

So far, I have not seen any cases - yet. If we make enough of a splash about it, I'm sure that will change.

As for the battery life... it's pretty freakin' sweet.

I'm averaging 60-70 hours, on moderate use. Several short 5-10 minute calls, LOTS of texts, some games, some surfing, e-mail... some 3G use, but mostly on Wifi... I don't use any battery managers.

As for the weight? It sits perfectly in my hand. I love it.

Still annoyed about how recessed my power button feels at times, but other than that... zomg.

Do you force close lots of apps to get that? I've got screen turned down to 20-25% brightness, 1 min, 4 hr email checks, no facebook running, etc and am down to 40-50% battery after 10-11 hours of use. Mainly I use it for moderate web browsing or Nook reading during the day. GPS and Wifi are off.
Battery info says the display is using 60-70% even with those settings.

Nope. I just close the Blockbuster crap and some of the background HTC stuff when I boot up the phone.

I have the display set at 18% most of the time. GPS is off, too.

Just to compare, I had a random reboot earlier, which threw off my numbers, but..

Up time: 6:26: 41
Awake time: 1:17:05

What has been using the battery:

Display: 46%
Cell standby: 13%
Phone Idle: 11%
Engadget: 8%
Wifi: 7%
Android system: 5%
Android OS: %4
Voice calls: 2%
Skyfire: 2%
Facebook: %2

I have my old Seido 1750 from my Inc1 and brighness set to auto, gps, blue tooth, wifi and syncing on. My email for exchange is push except from 9pm to 7am. I do not have background apps running like stock checking, weather, facebook... only sync when opening. I am moderate user, mostly calls, emails, internet, maps, news readers, no TV, music, movies or ESPN watching.

I get easily 2 full days. Unplug it around 7am and at 10pm ussually around 65% left. My origional battery was around 50%. If I turn off wifi it doesn't seem to make a measurable difference, but download speeds are more pleasurable with wifi.

I'm still using my original incredible 1, got it when it first came out, still works perfectly. Back then I ordered both the extended 1500 battery (fits with the original cover) and I opted for the 2150 extended battery (w/ cover). I switch back and forth between these so I always have a full charge.

These pics of the ext battery for the new Inc2 are really not that bad, they are no worse than the 2150 on the Inc1, yeah the back covers are shaped differently but they look about the same. At this point if you want extended battery life this is the way it goes.

I've got my eye on the Inc2 but not sure I want to give up my Inc1 yet. I do love the 4 in screen though. That is the ideal size, 4.3 I think is too big. 4G is not worth it yet till they work out the sucky battery life, don't want to deal with that again since going through it with my Inc1 first hand.

In other news, I want them to bring pagers/beepers back. It's about that time. If skinny jeans can make a comeback, surely anything can!
Honestly, I'd love to ditch the cell and go back to a pager. But, my wife is starting to call me a fossil because of things like that. I mean, I want the days of BBS'es to return big time!
