Top 5 FREE Android games as voted by my readership

Around 4 weeks ago I set up an e-mail campaign to generate a list of the 5 best games available on the Android platform. As an active and fellow Android power user myself, I already had my personal list but my readership sent in approximately 312 e-mails direct < yeah, and that is a lot when you have to manually select them via G mail.

Any hoo, heres the list guys

Nesoid Lite, Free

Doom, Free

Mystique, Free

Bonsai Blast, Free

Battleship, Free

Try them out, they are all brilliant

Sorry - I got your / a comment about this on my blog - my wp-admin isn't working for some reason.

Thanks for asking on the thread - Yeah you can, search for 'Doom Lite' it shows up on my Hero.

Alternatively, the package name is android.game.doom.

And as apposed to the Doom Lite search, try out Doom for Android. The app market occasionally moves it around.

:O lol. How dare you - Well it was a little bit weird that Labyrinth Lite didn't get voted as a top 5.

What games do you like? Perhaps you could enlighten my readership

awesome thanks for doing this, if i knew how to take screenshots of my phone i would post qr codes for this...i love scanning my screen to download an app

edit: you should add them to your website for ease of use for your users. they should be very thankful for that.

Well try his ;

1. Download and then install Android SDK ( I use W7 and it works fine)

2. Go to Settings > Application > Development > Then enable Debugging check box

3. Plug your phone into a PC /Mac with a USB adaptor

4. Find the SDK folder in your computer which you have recently installed. On all OS that folder should begin with

And yeah. I have recieved 2 replies to this thread about not being able to find Doom < to me, I have no problems :/.

It tells you how to manually install games < or, if you can not be bothered with the hassle there are tons upon tons of brilliant games for Android < Labyrinth Lite being one of my personal favourites.

Yeah I cannot find Doom on my Eris either, I really don't care since I dont want to play Doom but I use to be able to find it on my old G1. Strange

I know what QR Codes are mate I wasn't sure on what you meant when you said add them, as I didn't know you were referring to QR codes; I would have left them apart from when I tried, for some be-known reason WP wanted to strike a line through every live link from my blog, which looked ridiculous.

stupid question here, but i downloaded the nesoid lite app in the hopes i could play some mario brothers. it then had me search for rom and i found it on the search site. downloaded to phone, but i cannot get it to do anything past that. When i go into astro file manager it shows it in my downloads folder, and it gives me the option to long click it and extract files, but it doesnt extract. when i go into the nesoid lite app and try to load rom nothing shows up .. any suggestions

Thats a first not being able to extract them. Have you tried deleting the files you have downloaded and trying again? Just to single out the possibility of a missed Kb.
