Root Messages Not Sending.

I smoke too damn much. Forgot to mention all of that. Running Velocity 1.1, rooted, and as far as I know, all of my contacts still have texting plans.

If you installed Velocity without wiping data your going to need to wipe data and the dalvik cache then reflash the ROM, That should fix it.

From http://androidforums.com/velocity/3...ly-android-2-2-1-froyo-super-fast-stable.html

Known Issues:
Problem: MMS messages fail on send and/or receive
Solution: Wipe ALL userdata and reflash the ROM

Woke up this morning to find this same issue. I updated to Velocity 1.1 a day after it came out and did the full wipe. Can't send or receive SMS. I can send MMS but can't receive. 3G works fine. Bizzare. Maybe Verizon is screwing with us?

Edit: Can't make calls ether :( Crap.

Double Edit: It appears that my area is experiencing a service outtage of some type. None of my friends with Verizon in town have service ether. False alarm!

Thought I had all my mms issues sorted out, but now I come to find I can't receive pics with txt msgs. I can't even send them to myself(to test)? I can send them to others just fine ...though they seem a little delayed. I haven't changed a thing in, like a week or so. So I'm not sure what's up?

Other than that, my phone is tighter than ever!!!!!

I've tried like everything I could think of and still nothing. And I can't afford another phone.

Wipe EVERYTHING, reflash. Then dont install anything, no backups, 3rd pary apps, nothing. This will be a good baseline test. If it works then slowly add apps back in.

If you reflash, then do anything we cant help you, as it could very well be 3rd party apps or backups breaking it. We KNOW that MMS works great if you do a full wipe, and has about a 30% failure rate if you dont wipe.

Did that. Still didn't work. I'll try to use a 3rd party messaging app. If that doesn't work, then I'll try restoring an old nandroid.

EDIT: I installed Handcent and now everything seems to be in working order! Thank you guys so much for all the help!

Ok, so I wiped, re-flashed 1.1, re-stored my apps with TB Pro, (not data, just apps). I use GoSMS Pro. MAKE SURE YOU ENABLE MMS AUTO RETRIEVE in stock msging app! All seems cool now.
Seems like it took a while for me to fix this 'cuz it made me mad and I gave up for a bit!! Again ......all is well!!!:D

When I first flashed over to Velocity 1.1 my phone had no problem sending any type of MMS. I was sending and receiving like a pro and actually had improved receiving picture messages. But I then flashed a theme and something went wrong in the upload so I was forced to reflash Velocity 1.1. I was able to download Velocity and completely wipe everything. So that was a few weeks ago.

Today I went to send a picture and ended up not being able to even get a picture to go through. I was able to receive text and picture messages without any problem. Sending a MMS was/is my only problem. I made a nandroid right after I flashed Velocity 1.1 CLEAN, but now I'm getting told that all of my backups are corrupted.
