PC World Review of G4

...also its looking like xda wants nothing to with this. .Maybe after its released???

This is my only real concern with this phone. The outstanding dev support is the reason I've held on to my HD2 for this long. If we're stuck waiting for AT&T/Samsung OS updates, I will have a hard time keeping the phone. I'm still planning on getting one at release though and keeping my eye on the SG2 announcement.

That is a huge concern of mine too. Usually XDA has a spot for phones before release just for general talk, but they show nothing as of yet. I fear most of the devs are waiting for the GS2 and discounting this phone entirely. Coming from the Atrix, which has a large fan base I am a bit scared to trade in for this; but I really want that screen.

I'm not concerned. Something as easy to notice as a pixelated display, will be easy to notice on the stores demo. I've read loads of reports saying the screen is brilliant & clear. We'll know soon.

As far as software updates that's AT&T, not Samsung I can assure you. I believe this phone will be a good one. I'm excited about the large display.

I am really excited about the screen too. Lately I watch all my new and you tube junk on my phone { Moto Atrix.} The Streak was just too big and the Atrix too small, but I think GoldieInfuse will be just right. It's unanimous that the screen size and quality are superior to most out there right now. So what no dual core, tegra, nfc, touch wiz 4.0. I keep checking back at XDA and posting for a dedicated forum though. We need to keep on that.

Who made the processor Samsung or Qualcomm?

It's an ARM Cortex A8 1.2GHz Hummingbird

What I really like about this CPU is it provides much longer battery life since it's an overclocked 1.0GHz version. Being single core you give up a little speed, but very little.

I'd much rather have it this way than dual core which sucks battery life and runs hotter. You've got to remember, the reviewers have to talk about the latest, but that's not always the best even when they say so. Every phone is a compromise of components. Plus there is no perfect phone or we'd really be bored... Ha...Ha...

I just got my unlocked SGS II, it's a really great phone... just incredible. But it has a tiny 4.3" display, :) for me the larger 4.5" that's on the Infuse is the perfect size.

This is one of the best phones yet if you like a big screen. Its my next purchase and a real keeper.

Cheers :)
