Root When to flash Radio/Wimax/Pri/NV?

well u should not need to as the rom might have the updated versions for you go to your h boot and see what version your radio is .. if its 2.15 then your good.. as for wimax not to sure what your trying to flash there as in you either have 4g keys or you dont... pri I would not mess with that unless you ran into to some problems

can you list what you have first, before you flash anything?

ROM - Gingerbread 1.2C

Kernel - Tiamat 4.0.2

GAPPS - gapps 5/9/2011

Radio, wimax, nv, and pri - [ Radios ][ 5-6 ] All EVO Radio, WiMAX, PRI, NV & HBoot versions - xda-developers

I found this ROM here: [Official][5-15-11][ROM] gingerbread-evo-deck [1.0][2.3.3 Stable][1.2c][2.3.4 Beta] - xda-developers

Since I just bought my phone and I heard this was a latest one to try, I'm giving it a shot.

I've already flashed everything except for the Radio, WiMAX, nv and pri. Do I need to do this? (Sorry I did everything before I started the thread, like an idiot, I know)

Yeah I've been researching like crazy beforehand. This is the only subject I've struggled to figure out. Everything is working fine and really fast! I'm amazed at how much my max speed has jumped up on SetCPU and my min speed went down a bit too.

Another quick question, if I back up all of my data and apps using titanium back up, can I cause any problems with the new ROM by restoring any old data?

yes.....and no... keep in mind that when ever you do a restore only restore "user apps" never system apps unless it is the same rom..... if you flash a different rom and restore system apps your cpu will not function correctly as you now have added different exe. files that your rom may not use (but will try to) and you will get errors all over the place

Another quick question, I accidentally restored system data after flashing the new ROM and now I'm getting the error "The application Market(process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Should I wipe and reinstall the ROM?

well yes and no....... the easiest would be to re install the rom.. you can however gho through and fix all the problems but that could take days..you are not that far in to setting up your rom so yes I would say wipe it all and start over.. as for contacts if you have flashed a sense rom then when you sign in to your google account it will update you(only if you are synced with your google account) if you flashed an asop rom you need to flash the gapps zip
