Happy Anniversary Incredible Owners!!!

Awww... I'm a little late to the party, but Happy Anniversary to us! :)

I still have my original INC from April 28th, and I'm just as in love as the day it arrived.

I'm planning to root on May 13th, when my VZW account will have an upgrade available on one of the lines. You know, just in case I manage to completely screw things up.

No plans to replace my INC as of right now. The Thunderbolt looks nice, but not enough for me to trade in for it.

I was there for the epic thread! I was sad to see it go, even though I haven't been on here much since then.

still have my original phone, i remember waiting for the clock to hit mid night so i could pre order! lol. i was a little bummed at first that we werent getting the nexus one, but i have nothing bad to say about this phone (not even about the battery, i can go around 16 hours on the stock battery after a year of use) and im keeping it until dual core and netflix is released (htc scorpion any one?). rooted? ya, like last week just so i could run webkey, never did any roms cause i never really saw the need.

happy annv to all who was born on that day (april 28) a year ago, with this phone...thanks to all of you who help me grow up in the 'andro world'...although i am a lurker (as you can tell by my posts), but i have learned so much from you all (me> old man=40's), but you kids are AWESOME!!!!

not roote;, it does everything i need it to do....

thx again....no need to upgrade within the next 12 months

future considerations: i love the inc2....becuz my hands are large, so the 4" is nice to my hands and for pockets......tbolt, is nice for my hands, bad for my pockets (especially shirt pockets & no LTE for my area til next yr)

I am one of the ones that signed up to post in that "epic thread" and remembered wasting a lot of billable hours on frantically hitting F5 repeatedly. It was a great time with the anticipation.

I'm also part of the crowd that kept it stock the first year and considering rooting for the second. I seriously just don't have time to do the research. Wish I had a knowledgeable friend to do it for me.

@grandmadroid, we'll have to compare notes, lol. I'm 67 years mature (?) and the HTC Inc is my first smartphone.

I stopped by BB to play one more time with the Moto Droid, which I had finally decided to buy come May. This was on April 29th on my way to work in the afternoon. Then I saw the Inc, just arrived in store and wouldn't you know they had a working model for me to play with.

Long story short, I fell in love and made it to work on time with my best fun ever in my pocket.

You all have helped me with the learning curve. Not being tech savvy even though I love technology, I lurked here a lot and learned a tremendous amount. I'm proud to have made the leap of faith, and will keep my Inc another year, even though I could upgrade now. I'm no where near bored yet and am thinking of rooting for more fun this next year.

p.s. I'm now an incurable Angry Birds addict with no chance of recovery. :):):):):)

So show of hands.. who was part of the ORIGINAL epic, awesome HTC Incredible thread? I see alot of "preorder" people here so I'm sure atleast one of you will know what I'm talking about

Me! Got 2 of em actually. I miss the old thread, box drama and all lol

Got it on release day. Rooted it about 7 months ago, first on Skyriader 3.5, now running Warm Z, soon to be Skyraider 4.0

SkyRaider 4.0 is simply awesome. The lock screen gestures and the MANY other things you can do with the lock screen, the recent apps bar, toggle bar, smoothness of animations, everything works so well. I feel like I have a brand new phone. No complaints.

Got mine on launch day and it was the first one sold out of the store. Hands down one of the best phones I've had since my LG Voyager. I have no complaints about the device whatsoever and I'm fortunate enough to have not had to replace it. Besides a few knicks around the edges and the wearing of paint its in great condition!

I joined in February 2010 after lurking for a little, and mostly lurked afterwards also( and still do). I searched for verizon smartphones and Phandroid popped up first. I remember getting sucked in to bashing the "trolls" for not f5-ing for 24/7 about every little detail that was coming out. Hated myself for that.
Most definetly love this phone but like everyone else, It has had it's times when I wanted to throw it against a brick wall. Not rooted and Im okay with it. It also has been imeasureable in its importance in helping my life ie: directions, info about places to bring my kids, planning, keeping me occupied at my other boring job, finding cheepest gas...etc
I would also like to say that I dont think I would have kept the phone if it wasn't for this site...So Thanks to Everyone for helping!

I rarely stop in here anymore, my phone is THAT good! I actually think I'll make it to the 2 years for the first time ever. I love my phone, it's so rock solid. I almost gave it to my husband to get myself a Thunderbolt, but thought better of it ;) Actually in his line of work he needed something hardcore, so he is sitting pretty with the G'Zone Android and loves it.

I remember that epic thread very well! I also wasted a lot fo time hitting F5. Who remembers the chaos that ensued after there was a reported MYSTERY BOX that we all were waitign for a certain suer to open?

Anyway I was a preorder customer as well, and one of the lucky few who ahd it shipped accidentally adn got it almost a week earlier than it was supposed to be released.

Still loving this phone. It's the best one on the market. Love being a part of this crowd too.

i third that motion

You three gentlemen are very wise... I still have my DInc (thank God), but I am also really regreting dropping around $300 on a device that is barely equal if not worse that my Incredible; the HTC Thunderbolt...

But the need to have the latest device got the best of me, needless to say that I no longer have the need for the newest device on the market... a $300 lesson :(

Yup I was there. Never have I been so excited for a phone. I remember visiting everyday waiting for any information! Wondering if another phone will excite me as much.

I was, though I lurked a lot more than I participated.

Ditto.

My wife and I still have our original incredibles, unrooted, though now seems a great time to change it up. Stoked they finally got netflix on the phone. Still looks and feels brand new thanks to my seido case and screen protector. :)
