Root TONS of force closes!

Alright, so I downloaded a zip file from Droidlife that was supposed to theme my swype. I installed it in clockwork, rebooted and began to get force closes which made my phone unusable. I had to SBF, get back to .595 again, so now I install the CRT off and circle battery mod, reboot and I start getting the FC's again, I haven't installed that Swype theme anymore. I really wish I could theme my swype, but I can live without it I guess... I just want everything back to normal. I try doing a nandroid backup and the FC's continue, so I have to Factory reset in order to get them to stop.

Wgich .595 rom are you using? If its not the Deoedexed rom, that is your problem. Themes do not work with Odexed roms. Let us know that first then we could check further.

If you want to apply themed swype or CRT and battery mod to your setup, then restore your backup, or get back on .595 (you've probably already done this) and apply this deodexer I made in CWR:

GB_2.3.3_4.5.595_Deodexed.zip

Once you've done this, you can apply the themed swype and CRT with battery mod.

Most people are ok with the deodexed .595 setup, but some people have issues like the ones you describe, and it's an easy fix by simply applying the deodexer first and the mods after (apply deodexer in CWR first, reboot, then go back into CWR and apply your mods).

P.S. It will be a long reboot wait after applying deodexer.....about 3-5 minutes.

I doubt that swype is going to work. You should look for a themed one specifically for Gingerbread for the DX. Maybe someone that has a similar swype working on GB DX will chime in.
